 I’ve honestly never expected a channel like that air such an ad. It was revolting to watch. I don’t want to mention the name but it’s the the same site that got hacked last year and the data was posted all over the dark web. It was disgusting to see how the ad normalized adultery and made infidelity all innocent when in reality the non-offending spouse is made to feel worthless, younger children feel they’ve done something wrong when divorce occurs, older children fear they may become like the offending spouse when they marry, and suicides. It’s probably best to brace for even worse things to come from the media.

Now that’s just gross. And impractical.

I mean, they don’t expect the wives to notice their husbands giving their undivided attention to the adds while they’re watching TV?

They’re still in business? I haven’t seen any ads for them for years here in the US in ages.
They were hacked twice, company’s emails were stolen and customers’ data and credit card info stolen. On top of that it turned out that rather than real women the company created thousands of “fembots”.

I had no idea they put out TV ads before in either country. I thought it was a recent thing to get that site profitable again or whatever their financial needs are as I’ve never seen them before. The only time I’ve heard about the site was an attempt to put up a billboard in a city I don’t live in on the news before the hack.
What makes me angry is media companies are fine with taking money to carry ads like these which are destructive to society but most likely won’t carry ads for example, reminding people a child with Down syndrome. We’re not like France where they’re banned.
Just like radio. Secular radio stations in Canada won’t play ‘Christian’ bands and singers because ‘He loves us’ or ‘we need You’ are ‘offensive’ but some of the most misogynistic and self-destructive lyrics are okay.
What can you do but vent? The anti-Christian mob is backed by big money. And some in the media industry are the source of that money too. All the complaints and reasoning in the world won’t convince them.

Whats really odd about these media companies, you are right, they will take money from anyone, they care little about content, as long as it matches popular sentiment at the time anyway, but at the same time, While France, Germany, etc are OK with airing nudity, curse words on tv, the US entertainment industry seems to be ok with the FCC setting very strict rules about content?!!

This makes no sense to me, why would such an immoral industry as hollywood put up with what are now seen as outdated values by many viewers? are they trying to fool people into thinking they do care about morals and values, or…? LOL

People today do not like being told what their values should be, especially by a govt agency such as the FCC.

Let your voice be counted: unsubscribe. Our family unsubscribed to cable television many years ago and we have been blessed with happiness, joy, and peace of mind.

I’m considering unsubscribing to that channel. Unfortunately I may lose some channels I may like in the package but I guess a few dollars a month is an incentive. It would have been wonderful if we could actually deselect individual channels but the regulator here in Canada didn’t force the cable companies to do that when they had the chance to do so.
