Please pray for my son who is to be sworn in as a Marine today.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

prayers promised, especially for safety and spiritual growth.

Please pray for my son who is to be sworn in as a Marine today.
We pray often for those in our military, especially those in combat.

Reminds me of my aunt… In 1967 her son (my cousin) was station in the Canal Zone of Panama. She received a letter from her son stating that his unit was being transferred to VietNam.

Upon receiving that letter my aunt immediately went to her church (A Methodist Church in a farm community)… She prayed for a long time and basically made a deal with God… (She knew she had poor attendance, if any, so she ask; “If you prevent my son from going to VietNam, I will be in church every Sunday”) >> Well, God granted her petition and my aunt has been in Church every Sunday since.

Blessings,

Will B.

Love the story and good for your aunt. A little afraid to bargain with God. While I am very proud, I am very scared, but am just pray for his safety and that of all our military and strength to accept whatever comes our way! God bless you for sharing with me!

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

Eternal Father, grant, we pray,
To all Marines, both night and day,
The courage, honor, strength, and skill,
their land to serve, Thy law fulfill.
Be thou the shield forevermore
From every peril to the Corps.

Almighty Father, whose command is over all and whose love never fails, make this Marine aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will. Keep him true to his best self, guarding him against dishonesty in purpose and deed and helping him to live so that he can face his fellow Marines, his loved ones, and Thee without shame or fear. Protect his family.
Code:
Give him the will to do the work of a Marine and to accept his share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm. Grant him the courage to be proficient in his daily performance. Keep him loyal and faithful to his superiors and to the duties his Country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to him. Help him to wear his uniform with dignity, and let it remind him daily of the traditions which he must uphold.

If he is inclined to doubt, steady his faith; if he is tempted, make him strong to resist; if he should miss his mark, give him courage to try again.

Guide him with the light of truth and grant him wisdom by which he may understand the answer to this prayer

Thank you for raising a man who would sign up to be a part of our country’s military! My prayers are with him and with you! Tell him that we are all so proud to have him as our protector.
God Bless,
Pam

Your responses are overwhelming and I will send each and every one to him separately daily as he goes through basic training as a reminder that no matter where you go or what you do, he has brothers and sisters in Christ throughout our country, throughout our world and I know that he will find that encouraging. I know I always find it humbling. God bless you all and you are all included in my prayers for whatever your needs may be. ❤️
