New Push To Make Divorce Illegal in California

There’s a movement in the state of California to make divorce illegal in the state. Interesting concept and even thought its satirical in nature, there’s always the off chance it may pass.

If such a law, forbidding divorce, is passed, it will create many problems in the state of california. It will not be successful and may have to be rescinded (withdrawn) in the end.

Divorce is a natural requirement. It was allowed in Judaism. Jesus also forbade divorce except in very rare conditions. The Muslims are allowed divorce admitting that it is the worst thing that Allah has permitted.

Let us see what can be a man made law and how long it would last !!

In California it can’t last. If memory serves only Malta has a total restriction on divorce. The Philippines has an exemption for those who marry under Sharia law. In the Philippines it translates into many illigitimate, their legal term, children as the seperated people go on with their lives and marry upon the death of the “legal” spouse

A little Google’ing about the site and John Marcotte shows this is a reaction to the whole Prop 8 debate. To me, it seems people who support gay marriage are bitter about Prop 8 and want to “turn the tables” so to speak and attack those who do not believe gay marriage (I know oxymoron) should be legal.
