Many of these businesses in minority neighborhoods contribute to the oppression of their community. Pay-day-loan places, check cashing places that charge hefty fees, convenience stores selling nothing but cigarettes and liquor, rent-a-centers, for profit “universities”.

It’s a shameful picture how capitalism can disproportionately target the poor.

Indeed capitalism can be used to oppress people. But what alternative is there? The only ones pushing for anything different are politicians pushing for socialism. And socialism has never worked anywhere.
