New Rugged Rosary

I got my new Rugged Rosary in the mail. It feels and looks amazing. It looks like it will definitely last me for many, many years. I had an extra split ring put on for a St Albert the Great medal I have coming. Once I receive it, I’m going to see about getting it and the other items in the pictures below (Pardon Cross necklace, finger rosary, and holy water flask) blessed by my priest.

Looks grand. Now I know what Padre Pio meant when he referred to his rosary as “his weapon”. 😃

There’s a video on YouTube, which I won’t post because the guy uses the F word at least once, showing off how to use one of these rugged rosaries in self defense. It looks and sounds crazy painful when he hits the dummy with it.
 
Although that is very practical, it is taking things far, far beyond the spiritual level. It does sound rather crazy, actually. The only “F” word we need is "F"aith.

With black “beads” and OD green cord (+ dogtags?), it would be 24/7/365 tactical man!

I was only pointing it out in response to Celtic’s post, not advocating it to be used as such. Though if it is the only thing you have in a bad situation, I cannot imagine it would be sinful to use it. But I take Karate in the hopes that I would not need a weapon in order to defend myself long enough to escape the situation.

I agree, which is why I did not link it. YouTube unfortunately does not have many warnings as to what language you will encounter.
