The report doesn’t make that claim. It dings the US for mobile telephone subscriptions and “Press Freedom Index” (whatever that is.) However, it evaluates access to the Internet as acceptable.

Coatimundi, how do you consider acceptable to be, well acceptable? The internet opens the world up to underserved people living in Rural, and in some cases Urban areas. We should have placed much higher yet we failed. The question is why?

The same question can be asked of mobile phones if you like. Child mortality is another glaring example of our failure to ourselves. The point of the thread was why did we do so badly not can we defend our results.

That wasn’t my call. That was the evaluation in the report. I don’t understand how they arrived at their conclusion.

I was simply pointing out that the report did not criticize the the US regarding access to the internet, after someone claimed it did.
