New Testament Cannon

I was wondering. How did the Church deterimine what went into the New Testament Cannon? I would think that there were more people that just Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John who wrote Gospels and I doubt that Paul wrote so few letters and while some of the other Apostles wrote none? And why wern’t some of the Early Church Fathers included? Thanks and God bless.

Basically, we beleive God led them to what books to put in. a general rule for the Gospels was that most of it had to be in at least 3 of the other Gospels. the letters, well, Paul was the most prominent, and most inspired writer…
