Wikipedia on theological typology

I should have stayd away from the language as I intended. The Wikipedia article should answer your questions.

The idea is that for a stamp to create an image, the image has to be reversed, anti. Like the reflection in a mirror. What you see in the imoression of a ring on sealing wax is opposite to the image on the ring, a reflection. To say Christ is the antitype is to say he is the original, the image on the ring. The types can be before or after, King David, Jonah, Moses are all types, as are we in our embodiment of Christ.
 
I agree with everything your’s saying. I think I might need to explain it differently.
 
I’m not saying the Incarnation is a shadow. That’s me putting into words all that I have observed. I’m not this special person, it’s just hard to express your ideas online. So sometimes what you type can be misconstrued and misinterpreted. Im just curious if this type theology is orthodox. Hypotheticaly it’s possible that a person could preach action and change and wonder why no one changes. Maybe it’s because it’s self defeating?
