New TLM in Tacoma, WA

Just released info on a new TLM for Tacoma and the south Puget Sound area. The FSSP and Archbishop J. Peter Sartain have just announced that beginning May 20th the Polish parish of Sts. Peter & Paul in Tacoma, WA will host the FSSP’s satellite parish for a weekly Sunday low Mass. For the time being the Jesuit priest, Fr. Ken Baker, will be the celebrant. Yep, that Fr. Baker (Homiletics & Pastoral Review editor emeritus).

Mass will be at 3:00pm with confessions at 2:20 and Rosary at 2:30.

Many thanks to Archbishop Sartain, Fr’s Saguto and Harkins, FSSP, Fr. Baker and of course to Fr. Bolda and the parishoners of Sts. Peter & Paul.
 
Great news. But I wish it were Longview instead of Tacoma. Longview is only a four and a half hour round trip for me.
 
Shows that priests can be found if they really want to. Good news for the people around Tacoma!

Well, Fr. Baker is not just an ordinary priest. He has been saying the TLM virtually every day for about 50 years. He is one of the premier experts on it in the nation. He recently retired, but is in good enough health to come out and do things like this. And good for him, too, the Jesuits just can hardly stand it! But it does give them good cover.
 
Let’s remember to keep Archbishop Sartain in our prayers. May God guide him as he shepherds us; may our prayers strengthen him as he labors on our behalf. Amen!!!

TLM in Seattle and Tacoma? This will be such a blessing for our communities…
