My name is Rev LJ and I am new to these forums. I have been an ordained minister for seven years and have been considering coming back to the Catholic church and becoming a priest. While I know married men are being accepted as priest, I probably do not stand much of a chance because of other issues. I would welcome any thoughts from anyone who knows more about this process than I do. Thanks and God Bless You.

Welcome to the forum reverend!

Peace and all good things to you 🙂

Contact the vocations office of the Diocese you reside in .

I’m curious as to why this thread was posted in this particular forum.

Welcome to the Catholic Answers Forums, Eastern Catholicism section. You’ve posted in the wrong section. 🙂 You might try posting in the “Vocations” section. The diaconate might be a possibility for you if you are a returning Catholic . The only married men who have been permitted to be ordained in the Latin AKA Roman Catholic Church are men who were formerly protestant clergy, and that is small number.

Are you familiar with the Coming Home Network? The apostolate began and is largely focused on those men who are pastors and feel they are now called to the Catholic Church and face all the challenges of that, in particular the loss of the particular vocation they had as a pastor. They’re an amazing resource. I would encourage you to contact them.

The Journey Home TV program which is part of the Coming Home Network airs on EWTN Mondays 8 PM ET Encore – Tuesday 1 AM ET & 9 AM ET, Thursday 2 PM ET, Saturday 11 PM ET, and some are archived here on EWTN YouTube. The Journey Home TV programs also air on Catholic Radio.

We here in the Eastern Catholicism section can certainly keep you in our prayers and perhaps be of use to you in some way related to the Eastern Catholic Churches. 🙂

Interesting that you have posted today, the Feast of the Holy Trinity for all those on the Gregorian calendar. May you be encouraged in your faith by the Holy Spirit.
