Not true. The Jesuits and Missionaries of the Holy Spirit are but two examples of religious orders that came after the Franciscans.There is no traditonal “order.” The Church stopped created orders with the Orders of Friars Minor, I believe – centuries before the idea of “traditionalism.”

A widening of the general indult to celebrate the Mass of Pope Pius V would completely solve the whole problem. Overnight the SSPX would be irrelevant, and traditionalist priests, institutes and societies would simply become leaders (ahead of the curve) in the worldwide Catholic Church. As for SSPX priests; their main excuse for staying at odds with the Vatican would be eliminated. In effect; the wind would be taken out of the sails of the SSPX and redirected toward traditional Catholics within the canonical structures of the Catholic Church.
