New Translation

When the new translation of the Roman Missal in English is issued, will they issue a new Catechism of the Catholic Church as the Catechism of the Catholic Church makes us of prayers from the missal? I want to buy the Catechism but I am wondering if I should wait.

I don’t think they will. They don’t need to issue a new Catechism.

One of the things I heard will be changed is the response to the priest saying, “The Lord be with you.” Instead of saying, “and also with you”, the new response will be “and with your spirit” which is supposed to be a more accurate translation from Latin.
 
The current Catechism uses quotes from the Roman Missal with the ICEL translation. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m not sure. I’ll have to check.

But any case, I think only the English translation of the Roman Missal will be updated.
