In 2016 the Obama administration had issued new regulations that redefined “sex” to include sexual orientation and gender identity.

These new regulations raised a number of significant religious liberty issues and pro-life issues. For instance, physicians would be required to provide gender reassignment surgeries, administer hormones to facilitate gender reassignment, and even perform abortions in violation of the consciences of medical professionals.

Now the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services finalized a new rule that replaces the Obama era rules and brings HHS’s nondiscrimination regulations back in line with federal law passed by Congress.

As much as I detest the guy, he’s not wrong.

If the government is going to be stupid enough to pass laws that pertain to it, they have to be able to define and objectively identify it apart from taking you at your word (for anti-fraud purposes).

How does one objectively and independently verify that someone else sexually identifies as the 1972 Cincinnati Reds Baseball team or an Apache Attack Copter?

Oh my heavens, a slight bit of sanity related to reality, amidst the “woke” generation.

That we have issues concerning gender identity is a given. That is not a matter of physical identity, but appears to be a matter of psychological issues, a point that in the public “conversation” is not possible to discuss because too many of those who champion the matter use vitriol and shaming to anyone who even appears to disagree with their revision of reality.

This is a mental health issue where the only definition is “whatever the patient claims at the time”.

There has been a sharp increase in the number of teenage girls hoping to transition.
And it goes way deeper than “they feel safe nowadays to speak out”.

👍 When our biological truth conflicts with our mental truth, it should not give reason to ignore what we see in the mirror.

The standards for mental health are like the precedents of the SCOTUS - the more they reverse themselves, the less credible their future judgements are.

Banner also said he painted the word “HUFFY” on the side of his bike, ensuring he has no advantage over the bikes that came out of the factory as bicycles.
He quickly called critics bigots, and they were immediately banned from professional cycle racing.
