New Version of the Lectionary in the US?

I read somewhere that there may be a new version of the Lectionary in the works for the United States. Does anyone know anything about this?

The US Lectionary was fully changed (Sundays, Feasts, & Weekdays) back in 2002 so I don’t think another change is in the works. Perhaps you’re thinking of the new translation of the Roman Missal, which goes into effect on November 27th?
 
No, I was at the St. Michael’s Hymnal site and they stated that they were not adding the lectionary readings because they were waiting on the new lectionary translation.

Where did it say that? According to their FAQ, the reason is:
Constraints of size and resources will not make it possible to include the texts of the Sunday Mass readings in the hymnal.
Phemie is quite right; there is no new translation of the Lectionary in the works.

Why does the St. Michael Hymnal not include settings of the Responsorial Psalms?

**At present, we do not think it prudent to include Psalmody in a permanent hymnal until the coming Lectionary revision has been completed. **

There are currently multiple resources for good psalmody, both online and in printed form. We suggest in particular the work of the Chabanel Psalms, Fr. Samuel Weber O.S.B, and Fr. Columba Kelly O.S.B. (Links to their work can be found on our “Resources-Links” page.)

Further, many parishes still prefer to use a missalette or other booklet for the readings, and most of those resources include a setting of the Sunday Responsorial Psalm.

I confused the Psalmody for the readings. Mea Culpa. However,the part that I bolded seems to indicate a revision of the Lectionary is in the works.

yes, the revised grail psalms are scheduled to be the pirmary liturgical english psalms.

Sorry for the derailment but I attended a chant workshop taught by Fr. Columba Kelly this past Saturday! 🙂
 
So, when the revised grail psalms are approved for use a new lectionary will be released?
