Disgusting. Evil. Vapid. So focused on “rights” of the mother that they ignore the gravity of what they’re doing.

I’ve heard the mantra that abortion should be “safe, legal and rare”. It is now the first two, I wonder if it is has ever been the last.

Lord Jesus Christ, let us be your soldiers to fight for the helpless in this war on the unborn.

Video after video is being released that shows this happening over and over again at Planned Parenthoods in different states.

Planned Parenthood supporters will just continue to say that these are only “a select few” workers that don’t matter, no matter how many videos come out.

But why would Planned Parenthood disagree with sex selective abortion? If there’s nothing wrong with abortion, then what does it matter what the reasons are?

Anyone else find the irony in selectively murdering women for the sake of protecting women’s rights? Also that House Democrats recently shot down a bill to ban sex-selection abortions?

From a legal perspective, I don’t understand the tie between abortion being a health care issue (it has been argued that contraception and abortion are women’s health issues) and and sex-selection abortion being part of that health care. If you accept (I don’t, but …) that having a baby is precarious enough for women’s health that women should be free to have an abortion to protect their health, how do you get to the point that female babies are more of a danger to health than male babies, or vice versa?

Has planned parenthood ever denied that they do sex selection abortions? Is this really something that requires an undercover investigation? If a woman has a right to an abortion why does the reasoning matter anyway?

No, they haven’t. Which is why I never understand that every time one of these videos is posted, someone comes on here and says “Oh it doesn’t matter, that’s just one person. The vast majority of the workers aren’t like that.”
Is this really something that requires an undercover investigation?
No, I don’t think it does. It would be one thing if they denied that they do sex selective abortions, but they don’t.
If a woman has a right to an abortion why does the reasoning matter anyway?
That’s exactly what I said. It shouldn’t matter to anyone who is pro-choice or supports abortion. Similarly, we who are pro-life decry all abortions, no matter the reasoning.

This makes Planned Parenthood complete hypocrites when they say Republicans have a ‘war on women.’ Sex selection abortion is a form of discrimination.
Taxpayers are funding Planned Parenthood when most Americans are against sex selection abortion.

2006 Zogby International poll that surveyed 30117 people in 48 states found that 86% of Americans wanted a law to ban sex selection abortion.

Poll by the Lozier Institute found that 77% of those surveyed would support law banning abortion in cases where ‘the fact that the developing baby is a girl is the sole reason for seeking an abortion.’ Pennsylvania, Illinois, Arizona and Oklahoma already have laws banning sex selection abortion.
The undercover video in Tuscon showed the surgical assistant Francisco say to the woman, ‘We could lose our license,’ ‘I’ll just forget about it,’ he said, ‘But just be sure not to mention it’ ‘Don’t even mention it to him.’ He meant do not mention it is a sex selection abortion to the abortionist.

That is illegal and breaking the law so a investigation needs to be pursued by the police.

Most Americans are against war and the outrageous salaries of our politicians and we pay for that with our tax dollars. Furthermore, there is a difference between state imposed discrimination and a woman discriminating in her womb.

You ban sex selected abortions and women will just state another reason. I think the whole idea is silly anyway. If it’s a woman’s right to control her body and have autonomy then that right stands no matter why she decides to exercise it.

Despite the fact that I’m pro choice and you’re pro life we seem to be on the same page when it comes to the reasoning over this. Whether you’re for or against legal abortion reasons for abortions are pretty irrelevant.

If you have a problem with politician salaries then in a democracy do something about. But politicians salaries are on no par with a business like Planned Parenthood that kills thousands of babies a day, that has been caught in medicare fraud, that is being investigated for gendercide abetting, aiding and abetting abortion for sex trafficked minors etc.

An unborn baby deserves equal protection in the law. A woman may want a sex selection abortion, but Planned Parenthood has been caught aiding and abetting it and in one state, breaking the law. There may be other videos that are released that show them breaking law further.

Many women are also coerced to have a sex selection abortion.

That’s what I’m saying-if people are going to say they’re pro-choice they should not have a problem with sex selective abortion. It’s hypocritical. You’re either for the “choice”-for whatever reason, or not.

And yeah, I don’t know if a ban against sex selective abortion would work. All the woman would do is say, “I just can’t afford” a baby, or any other reason.

Exactly. I am pro choice and I don’t have an issue with it. I also don’t get all of the hatred towards planned parenthood. There is a huge demand for abortion in this country and even if planned parenthood didn’t exist another organization would step up to fill the demand. If anything blame the mothers. They are the ones making the choice. Planned parenthood isn’t kidnapping them off the streets and forcing them to have abortions based on sex, or for any other reason for that matter.

Well, of course, you and I are going to have a divergence of opinion over that. I do think Planned Parenthood is an evil organization by the simple virtue of what they do, and their encouragement of abortion. Of course the mothers are to blame in many instances, but in some I do think they have been conditioned to believe that they are making the right choice. But there’s really no point in debating that on this thread; we both know where the other stands.

I’m not trying to tell you that it isn’t evil. I fully understand and respect that you believe that. But even if somehow it was dissolved the demand would still be there, and someone would step up to supply. Why not attack the real issue here, that women are choosing to get abortions? Not politicians, not planned parenthood, but average, every day women. Currently, about one in four women will have at least one during her child bearing years. That’s a HUGE number!

Yes, I know, I don’t really think there’s an argument here between us. Of course you’re right, Planned Parenthood is the biggest organization so it gets most of the “face time.” We are trying to attack the real issue of women choosing abortions (and you’re right, that is the real issue) by working to change hearts and helping women who think that’s their only choice. Right now, that IS the most important thing we can do.
