So it is now time to make fantastical resolutions that may or may not be kept this coming year! I hope that writing and posting them will help me to keep mine…ugh.
  1. Less sleeping, more time in church! (somewhat possible)
  2. Kick the caffeine habit. (very possible)
  3. Grab the bull by the horns and acquire a better (make that a phenomenal) job in my home state. (small miracle needed*)
*miracles are not for investment purposes and should be used for spirituality only.

If people could pray a teeny tiny prayer for the latter that would be extremely appreciated, if not, sigh that’s cool too.

Your turn!! What are ya’ll dreaming of doing in the new year?

  1. Get a boyfriend
  2. Lose weight
  3. Get a promotion at work
  4. Get into Grad School.
I already moved away from home, so my luck SHOULD change.

. To quit procrastinating (well i’ve made that one before) especially with dealings with friends, when i realize i have to speak up about different issues.
This is the first one that came to my mind if i remeber more i will add them

  1. Get a job. 😦
  2. MOVE OUT OF MY PARENT’S HOME!! 😦
  3. Discern my vocation.
Man, this really makes me sound like a loser. I just graduated from college in August, don’t be too hard on me.

Dakotagirl, praying that all your New Year’s resolutions come true in the 2010 year! 😃
  1. spend more time with kids and less time sleeping (please hormones normalize so I don’t need to sleep all day!!!-pregnancy has been difficult!!!)
  2. eat better and lose weight-needed after the baby!!! Must be healthy to raise 4 kids!
  3. have more patience with kids and fiance (man is stubborn as a bull and kids are even worst! i have an 11 year old whom thinks she’s 30)
  4. Get married ASAP!
  5. Try to be at work more than sleeping at home -again hormones please normalize!
  6. Have a better relationship with famiy
  7. Help find fiance a full-time job, GOD willing so I don’t have to overwork myself while raising 4 children! please GOD hear my prayers
  8. LOWER DOWN ON SODA! Man I crave coke or pepsi 24/7 I am terrible! 😦
  9. Share more with those in need
  10. Spend more time in church with family!!! God forgive us for our laziness!!!
Prayers too appreciated

  1. Be more healthy myself, and help my husband to do the same.
  2. Attend Mass every Sunday, and pray throughout the week with my husband.
  3. Share my faith more with my friends and family.
  4. Remember that I am not perfect and Jesus does not expect perfection, he expects me to keep trying.

Here are some of mine:
  1. Read about the life of one saint per day and try to do something that honors them
  2. Say the rosary at least 4 times a week
  3. Attend Mass more often (EF as often as possible!)
  4. Eat a little better
  5. Start thinking about college seriously

so far all I’ve got is need a new cell phone, this one is shot

we actually did some Advent resolutions, added one thing each week, so I am now
loading and running the dishwasher each night
sweeping or swifter-ing the kitchen floor each night
having one veggie at least for each meal
limiting restaurant eating to once a week
so I guess I could resolve to keep up the good work

and please don’t refer me to flylady, she wears me out

  1. Get more running time in (was hoping to train for a marathon…but icy streets have been keeping me off the road!)
  2. Manage money better (so I can save a bit more).
  3. Get more regular sleep.
  4. Get more involved at new parish (I know a couple people, one who’s a buddy of my best friend, but I want to get to know more!).
  5. Do my schoolwork as soon as it’s assigned (I get good grades but stress and all-nighters shouldn’t be the means for attainment).
I have more…the list is too long…

I am resolving to not make any resolutions…😉 If only…

One can always improve and grow…especially in faith life…which is where mine come in.
I hope to continue my study of Catholic theology, and start to read more again…it is amazing how after college my reading intake slowed down…
I am resolved to learn to trust more, and let God show me his course for me.

  1. Re-save the money I spent on my canceled wedding
  2. Convert to Catholicism
  3. Start writing again
  4. Start photography again

(1) to learn to balance my differing responsibilities more effectively.

(2) to manage debt more wisely than I have in the past.

(3) to improve the overall level of my own health, which I tend to neglect all too often.

(4) to deepen my personal relationship with Christ and to implement more Catholic traditions/activities in our family, so as to live more fully the liturgical year.

  • pray everyday with the children - morning and evening prayers are my goal, everyday.
  • save some money
  • get to the gym three times a week
  • spend less time on the computer, and more time doing fun stuff with my children
  • help dh to eat healthier and lose weight

**Stop procrastinating
*Fast and pray more (thank you to those who helped me on here in the thread I started about that) 🙂
*Be a better wife and mom
*Be more social at my parish
*Join adult Bible study at my parish
*Save money
*Clean our closets, and donate clothes not being worn
*Do breast cancer walk next October (2010) with fellow coworkers …I promised them I would.

Happy new year!*

I also think your #4 should be on my list, too. :o God’s best for fulfilling your list next year!

Aw, you’re not a loser. You are making plans…every mile starts with a first step. Hope you fulfill your list! 🙂

*Your #2 and #3 sounds really hard!!! I could adopt those too for my list. 😛 Loading the dishwasher every night, ok er maybe…but swiffering EVERY NIGHT? I don’t think I could do it. lol :dts: I wish you great luck with your resolutions, annie! *

*Everyone’s ‘‘lists’’ sound so great…some quite ambitious…but with God, all things are possible…God’s best for you all to keep your resolutions!

Happy new year*

  1. Spend more time with my kids.
  2. Try to have more patience with kids and husband.
  3. Work out a schedule for cleaning the house and stick with it.
  4. Realistically assess how much volunteering I can do without causing chaos at home. (I went a little volunteer crazy this past year.)
