Wow!! These are all great resolutions!! May God bless us and keep us in the new year. šŸ™‚

Iluvmybabies: Thanks sooo much my sweet!! I will pray for you as well.

Kib: Most of us young ppl are in the same ugly, leaky boat, with either little/no experience or no degree, and we need both to compete with the older folks who are taking ā€œlesserā€ jobs that should belong to us. There, now you got me started, and I could go on and on… šŸ˜‰

It’s quite depressing, right? If I have to live with my parents much longer I will LOSE it! I love them dearly, but I can’t even be myself when I’m living here.

1* Get my child more involved in the church.
2* Pray more and learn my child more prayers.
3* Help others as much as i can.
4* Go to my dads grave more and be strong about it.
5* Eat more healthy food.
6* Learn how to cope with life. Try really really hard.
šŸ™‚

Daily family rosary - even if it is just one decade.
Daily workout and healthy eating.
More personal prayer.
Avoid procrastination.
Less computer time.
Clean the house more and get rid of things not being used.
Be calmer and nicer in dealing with DH and DS

  1. *]toss or donate old/broken appliances, shoes and clothing
*]do dishes EVERY day without fail
*]exercise at least 1/2 an hour five days a week
    *]less sugar and sugary sweets
*]remember more birthdays (I was bad at this in 2009)
*]call family members more often - another one I wasn’t so crash hot at in 2009

A usual one applies here: lose weight. I’ve done this every year and I’ve gotten pretty darn good at it. Making the resolution that is šŸ™‚ . Hmm – is there a patron saint for weight loss?

Not so usual:
  1. Visit here more often. I really do need to engage in more Catholic discussion stuff like this.
  2. This may sound flippant, but I have to say the words of Jasper Friendly Bear and Gracie Heavy Hand from the CBC Radio show The Dead Dog Cafe Comedy Hour: ā€œBe Brave. Stay Calm. Wait for the signs.ā€ Yes, be brave in the face of evil. Stay calm when the the world is all mess up because God is in charge. Wait for the signs, for he will surely show us that He loves us.
  3. Realise the dream of my life. Become a Canadian!
Your prayers asked for the 3rd one as my immigration journey will begin soon, with my wife by my side.

God bless!

Tony

I’m a little wary of making actual ā€œresolutionsā€; I’ve always thought they were dumb. But I’ll pretend I’m not really making any and give you a list of things I’m just trying to do because, now that I’m Catholic, maybe I can manage to be a Saint if I cooperate with God’s grace enough…
  1. Write my wife encouraging love letters at least once a month (maybe a few poems too),
  2. Say at least two rosaries a week, consistently,
  3. Learn to remember that it’s God’s job to open my friends’ hearts and minds to the fullness of Catholic Truth, not mine,
  4. Sin less,
  5. Pray for my wife more,
  6. Read the Bible every day,
  7. Become more involved with my wife’s counselling so I can help her manage her depression.

  1. Get a boyfriend
  2. Lose weight
  3. Get a promotion at work
  4. Get into Grad School.
I already moved away from home, so my luck SHOULD change.
So far, #4 is accomplished. 😃 I heard back on December 30th, so I need another one. After running the Portland marathon in October, I want to run another one this year. Maybe the Nashville one where they play country music the whole time. 😃

Well, I did quit smoking the last time I made a resolution and I remain a nonsmoker, so maybe resolutions can be helpful…

#1. Take better care of myself physically: exercise, eat right, get enough sleep, etc.
#2. Make sure to attend Mass every week and sometimes during the week.
#3. Do whatever I can to grow my performing arts studio from 200 to 250 students this year. This one is hard, because it means I actually have to work instead of sitting around playing the piano.
#4. Take extra-special care of DH. Sometimes he feels neglected with my busy schedule.

Hope I can achieve all this! šŸ‘
