“New York has taken to Chick-fil-A. One of the Manhattan locations estimates that it sells a sandwich every six seconds, and the company has announced plans to open as many as a dozen more storefronts in the city. And yet the brand’s arrival here feels like an infiltration, in no small part because of its pervasive Christian traditionalism.”

Looks like there’s hope for NYC yet if you ask me.

I’m from the South. Chick-fil-A is practically another religious denomination in that part of the world.

AAaaaaand…now I want some.

Their waffle fries are the best and they consistently have THE best customer service of any fast food chain. I could not care less what religion they are. I’m willing to bet most of the other people who eat there don’t care either. The only problem I ever had with them was when they stupidly put my cookies in the bottom of a bag of hot food and all the chocolate chips melted into goop.

New Yorker magazine will probably go all gaga over the next “fast casual” place that wants to charge 15 dollars for a hamburger with salad on top and you’ll have to stand in line for an hour to get it. Ho hum.

When I’m in New York I eat at Dunkin’ Donuts a lot. The Halal Guys is pretty good too.

I feel confirmed in my faith every time I go to Chick-fil-A. Truly, a Christian restaurant. All your sins will be washed away once you eat their waffle fries.

I might need an exorcism. It’s been awhile but there’s newish one in a nearby town so I went and idk I wasn’t feeling it and walked out without ordering and went to Culver’s.

Have I sinned Pup7?

Aughhh! Forgive me!!!

(I did say I liked their sandwiches so I would call that mitigating circumstances)

Our local Chic-Fil-A 🐄 has really great coffee. :coffee:
And their soup is good too!

Ok I will say it. Good on ‘em for standing up for their values, but I cannot stand their food.

We’re here in the hub of Chik Fil A

In snowstorms they let people sleep in their restaurants and feed them for free
When there was a fire at the airport and the lights went out, they fed thousands of stranded people for free
They donate tons of money to local schools

Perhaps people are afraid that there is something more important than money???

Good for Chik Fil A

I like the food, but the fries are always limp, and the coffee is terrible, but the sandwiches and salads are wonderful.
Everyone has different preferences. Each to his own, LOL
Many of my students got big scholarships to college for working there.
They are a fine company, Wish we had more like them out there. 😍

No.

That’s the best part about a chickfila cookie. it feels like it’s fresh baked.

Oh their coffee seems to be universally ATROCIOUS. 😆😆😆 They need to stick to chicken!

I can’t say I’ve ever gotten bad waffle fries. I’m sorry! They’re the second best part of the combo!

I’ve heard they treat their employees really well. And I agree - they’re a decent company.

If this was a Muslim-run fast-food kebab joint or whatever, there would be no shortage of praise.
