Wisdom 6:10 For they will be made holy who observe holy things in holiness,
and those who have been taught them will find a defense.
Is it wrong to have a crucifix in the bathroom?
yea, why not ,but in a proper place, with reverence, yes we usually call a priest ,pastor is a term most protestants use it widely ,but not any more.Do make sure to call a Catholic Priest and get the New house Blessed.

Wow thanks everyone ! I do want to get the house blessed. Texted Father but he hasn’t got back to me yet. They are very busy I guess. Have a blessed set of rosary beads on the door handle so will have to be content with that for now as regards blessed objects xx

Welcome to the Catholic Faith, and Congratulation on your New Home,\Hope the house Altar is ready, your place the Crucifix above and the Rosary ,one doesn’t think,we should place the Rosary on the door handle,or you could keep it hanging on the wall or home altar during family prayers would be handy.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains that sacramentals “are sacred signs which bear a resemblance to the sacraments. They signify effects, particularly of a spiritual nature, which are obtained through the intercession of the Church. By them men are disposed to receive the chief effect of the sacraments, and various occasions in life are rendered holy”(no. 1667).

Sacramentals become “sacred signs” not because of any inherent worthiness of the object blessed, but because of the blessings given through the Church’s intercession. They symbolize holiness (being set apart for and dedicated to God), but they also become holy.

WEAPONS FOR BATTLE: THE USE OF SACRAMENTALS (HOLY WATER, BLESSED SALT, CRUCIFIXES) IN THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

POWER OF THE HOLY ROSARY

“When you say your Rosary, the angels rejoice, the Blessed Trinity delights in it, my Son finds joy in it too, and I myself am happier than you can possibly guess. After the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, there is nothing in the Church that I love as much as the Rosary.”

19 Points of Advice for Fighting the Devil

We just have parish priests here in the Uk. I always thought a pastor was an evangelical thing ?
Just adding to the answer @edward_george1 gave earlier: In the United States and also, I think, in Canada, the term “pastor” designates the priest known in most English-speaking countries as the “parish priest”. That’s all there is to it.

While you’re waiting for Father, you can sprinkle holy water around the house yourself and ask God to bless it.
My grandfather did that to his house so I always do it when I am in a new house too.
