What do you think of the draft choices so far? I’m originally from Michigan and was very surprised that a Central Michigan player was chosen first, as they don’t play a rigorous schedule compared to some conferences.

I’m a little concerned about the Lions’ first choice as he doesn’t have much football experience.

I hear the Vikings had 3 draft picks the first round (one was from a trade). I didn’t stay up to see them but our local paper thought they were good.

I’m surprised Manti Teo and Geno Smith haven’t been taken yet.

Your thoughts?

On the Vikings, it looked to me like they only had two, but they had 23 and 25, I belive. They had two picks in a span of three.

Being a Chiefs fan I was very interested in the draft this year. I was hoping they would take Joekle but I trust Andy Reid’s judgement

I didn’t watch all of it, only the first 15 picks. I noticed that every pick ,up to that point at least, was either defensive or an offensive lineman. No QB, RB, TE, or WR. it was all the unsung hero’s that get no glory, I thought that was great, there is too much emphasis on the scoring positions.

Also I think Jeno Smith is being a baby not coming back today because he didn’t get picked first round. That shows a lack of integrity, and something teams should consider in choosing him. Too many Divas in the NFL already.

Yes Minnesota had 3 picks I just looked at all the picks:

He should have never gone to NYC to begin with. Everybody knew that he was *NOT going to be a first round pick.

The Vikings got an absolute steal at 23 with Sharrif Floyd. He was the best defensive player in the entire draft according to many experts. Nobody is really sure why he fell so far. As far as Fisher over Joeckel, Fisher was a combine freak, and Andy Reid has an impulsive desire to be the smartest guy in the room*, so if everybody says Joeckel is the #1 pick, he’ll take Fisher so that he can look like a genius.

I am not surprised Geno Smith wasn’t taken. I never thought he was first round worthy. I am surprised that Manuel was drafted before him, though. Te’o was exposed in the national title game and further disappointed at the combine and workouts, but I thought the Vikings were going to take him with one of their picks.

Never mind; don’t listen to me. I don’t know what I am talking about.

Agreed that the Vikings got a great steal with Sharrif Floyd. though I may be a bit biased being a Florida fan. as an Eagles fan, I’m okay with picking Lane Johnson, but I thought if Floyd made it passed the first three picks, I would have liked for them to grab him. I suppose protecting Vick’s blindside is important too though,

According to our local paper’s website, startribune.com, the Vikings traded 4 later picks to get Cordarrelle Patterson as No. 29.

Saw a little bit of the draft Thursday night and wasn’t around a TV much either Friday or Saturday. I used to be a draft geek, but being a draft geek is like being a recruiting nerd in college football, don’t have time for either one.

Grading how a team drafted this past weekend is about as stupid as team rankings on signing day in February…ask me in a few years.
