A couple things have been weighing on my mind, so I decided to go to confession today. The only place around that holds weekday confession after I get off work is the cathedral downtown. Downtown parking sucks; I used a spot on the street with a meter, instead of the more expensive garage. No big deal, under a buck for the hour because the previous “parker” left with 20 minutes on the clock.

In confession, the priest told me that the things I was worrying about weren’t necessarily sins. Nevertheless, I did have other sins and so I was absolved.

Walking out, I looked down and there was a dollar on the ground. I had put a dollar in my job’s pop machine just so I’d have the change for the meter.

I picked it up, started crying, because I truly felt it was God showing his appreciation for my heartfelt confession. I stuck it in my pocket and started walking to my truck. I got by the St. John statue outside, stopped and thought, “what EDIT am I doing.”

So I turned around and went back into the cathedral, over to the Mary shrine, lit a votive candle and put the dollar in the offertory box.

So mysterious.

I thought…For the Greater Glory of God…

Saint Ignatius High School

I couldn’t have gotten into the school if I weren’t a “brother.” :tiphat:
Hahaha:-p

Only reason I mention it, is because apparently the Jesuit HS in Indianapolis (I’m at college in Indiana…) is co-ed…

I swear, I think you are very near to me … I think I know exactly what Cathedral you were in, even by your somewhat vague descriptions.

Odd.
