This is primarily is addressed to non-RC’s. Zondervan is releasing an updated NIV. They will then pull the NIV and TNIV off the shelves. Being a convert to the RCC, I still use the NIV as one of my scripture choices. I know you can now read some of the new text online. The NIV is the best selling Bible version, years ago over taking the KJV. Will you rush out to buy one? or will you rush out to buy the present one before they are pulled off the shelves?

Both versions are online at biblegateway. For comments on the new version, click one of the links in the box on this page, which contains a change said to be due to modern scholarship - They crucified two rebels [was robbers] with him, one on his right and one on his left - Mark 15:27.
