No Act of Contrition?

Dear all,

I’m traveling, therefore visiting different parishes these days, and i wanted to share a new experience about the subject which i actually like even better:

After having read your messages i was more relaxed about the Act of Contrition, and so i didn’t say it or interrupt the priest, either. However, to my surprise, the priest asked me: “Are you truly sorry for the sins you’ve confessed?” I thought that was the hint, so then i said an improvised Act of Contrition which actually sounded and felt more intimate and real 😇

If time is of the essence, then perhaps just a quick, but sincere - ‘for these and any other sins I may have overlooked, I am truly sorry’ - would serve well.
