We don’t say Aleluiah during Lent, but what do we say instead?

Either nothing, or something along the lines of “Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ, King of endless glory”.

I was stumped as my grandchild called me to help him with a Chatecism question. I opened my issue of Magnificat and compared it to January’s issue and see nothing. Then I tried to remember mass and brain clouded. I should KNOW this!!!

At my church we sing “Glory to you, O Word of God, Lord Jesus Christ.”

There are several options. A sampling of what’s available in the French translation:
  • Glory to You, O Lord Almighty, glory to You, O Christ our King.
  • Glory to You, Lord, glory to You.
  • Praise to You, Lord, King of eternal glory!
  • Glory to the Christ, Eternal Word of the living God! Glory to You, Lord!
  • Glory to You, Lord, Son of the living God!
  • Your Word, Lord, is Truth, and your Law, deliverance.
  • Glory and praise to You, Lord Jesus!
  • Glory to You, Lord - honor, power and majesty!
