This society is really getting out of hand. First they don’t want to say Merry Christmas and now they won’t have Christmas service.
This is sad. We must not forget the reason for the season, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I’m not quite sure what you mean. Who is not having a Christmas service on Christmas Day?

Here in the city where I live, there are several churches that will not be having a Christmas service, because…get this…Christmas day falls on SUNDAY. So they will not expect anyone to attend services that morning. They will all be very busy opening gifts.

I had heard something about the Protestant churches in an area of the U.S. doing this. . .sorry to hear it is in your area. Though if you’re Protestant you can’t receive communion in a Catholic church I am sure that your local Catholic church would warmly welcome you to Christmas Mass. . .

Our church will be having the traditional midnight Christmas mass. They interviewed several “Christian” people here and they said they were entitled to have Christmas day off from work AND church service. So since Christmas falls on Sunday this year they want the community to agree with them on the grounds of fairness" in time off "for everyone. Which I think is redundant.
