No dna on the shroud of turin

I was watching a talk show today, where this man who has been investigating this sort of thing was speaking. He said that. Although they could tell that the blood type on both the shroud and the face cloth that was supposed to have covered Jesus head. Were both AB negative. They could not find any dna. He said that left the researcher/ scientist, he was working with, very puzzled. Because, it would not be unusual not to be able to make a complete dna profile, because of the age of the samples. There should be enough to be able to get some dna off of it.The guy in Question is called mike willesee (sp) He was a atheist journalist. Who found God after witnessing a stigmata.
 
Mature red blood cells have no nucleus, hence no DNA. The DNA from a blood sample comes from other cells in the blood plasma.
 
Yeah. But this expert was saying. There still should have been some nucleus of DNA there.
 
The Eucharistic miracles that I’ve read about showed the same blood type… AB negative.
 
You think Christ would leave His DNA behind so we could clone Him?

I’ve seen the AB blood type referred to in this context a number of times, but this is the first time I’ve seen the “negative” attached to it. Do you perchance have a reference to an authoritative source? I am interested because my own blood type is ABneg.
