No Introit, Epistle or Gospel?

Lately, I’ve been trying to learn the TLM. I have a Saint Joseph Daily Missal (1950). Yesterday I thought I had the hang of it. Today, when I looked up the Introit, then the Epistle and Gospel, they weren’t provided. Are you suppose to use the same ones from the day before till new readings are provided or what?

Today is the Feast of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary; everything except the Collect is taken from the Mass of the Friday in Passion Week (week before Holy Week). That’s why those things wouldn’t have been in the “Sept 15th” part of the TLM missal

Thanks, Juan Carlos! It looks like it does the same kind of thing for tomorrow. Also, it was a bit confusing because the Missal’s page referral was one off.

It pays to keep a traditional calender around with all the feast days on it. Some missals are a little lacking in communicating which propers to use on feasts outside of Sunday.

I make it a point to “set my missal up” prior to going to church.

In the old days it usually didn’t matter. Unless it was a major feast it was usually a requested mass for someone departed, and the requiem mass was used. That was one of the major improvements in the change - we get to celebrate all the memorials etc.
