No love for Drums?

That’s a good question though. How does one determine if an instrument if for secular use only? The Vatican II council gave recomendations but lists no particular instruments. I will admit people have abused the liturgy with improper use of some intruments, but once again that doesn’t mean the instruments should just be thrown out because of it.

I’m not arguing whether a drumset should be used during Mass or not, but I think people are making too broad a statement about drums as a collective.
 
I have seen Pope John Paul II as Masses where drums were used, especially in Africa and Latin America.

Yep, more proof he’s the anti-Christ. :rolleyes:
