As Saint Paul states: In all things, God works for the good! There is nothing that Satan can do the would interfere with the will of God. We live in a word of good and evil, and God can bring good from anything evil. Not that we should necessarily sit complacently and not comply with the will of God, but that we should understand that God has the world in His hands!
 
Unfortunatley, I must disagree. The world is not prospering. Albeit, the Church is claiming many souls to her even in these days, DEO GRATIAS for that, however the world is under the tyrannical grip of moral relativism and hedonism. The world is under the cruel taskmaster of satan and his cruel whip of sin. They have chosen which Master to follow and conlcuded that they want Barabas. So be it. Same for all Voting American Citizens tommorrow.

Tommorrow, Americans, and particularly, CATHOLIC Americans will get two choices:
The culture of death and homosexuality and every apathetic and perverted action one could think of,

Or

JESUS CHRIST: The culture of life and true love. The Love of the cross, the wellbeing and love of all on the Earth, as We all strive to Love and Serve Our GOD first and foremost, as these two things: Love of Neighbor and Love of GOD hinge on each other.

That is beatiful, However…we will be held accountable of our choices make no mistake.
The 50 million unborn baby’s blood claiming to heaven for justice will have it’s consequences and each and every one of us will have to pay his/her just punishment for not taking a more proactive stance on that.

That religious freedom is trampled on and that religious institutions and people are forced to commit mortal sin to comply with the HHS mandate also will have both temporal and spiritual consequence.
Contraception and abortion are NOT “health” issues, Babies are NOT some kind of DISEASE.
Heath issues are how to improve one’s wellness and curing REAL diseases.
Marriage is between 1 man and 1 woman period. this is what the Bible teaches us and anything else is immoral any one trying to say otherwise is simply helping the devil.

Will the world still spin on Wednsday no doubt about that, will have you helped evil further his agenda against the human race? I don’t know, I pray you had not for your’s and eveyone else’s sake.

Don’t forget the continued Rejection and Eviction of God from the public square were moral relativism will continue to grow and fester. :nope:
 
The difference about who wins will decide whether Christians will suffer their own passion sooner or later. There is no escaping the future that some generation of Christians shall have to be persecuted by the world.

Already much of the world persecutes Christians, but not the WHOLE world yet.
 
Just look at how the world has grown and prospered over the past 150 years or so. How did all this happen without being within the will of God?
 
I’m afraid I must also disagree with the OP, even though I wish I could agree.

If this election goes the wrong way, the American economy will gradually (or maybe not so gradually) enter a free-fall, and it may have drastic effects on the world economy.

I can’t name statistics off the bat, but I have seen some very compelling proofs of what could happen… it is really quite scary when you get the full picture.
 
The world will go on, but depending on the course that is chosen I think it will be a very different world, indeed. There is no magical fix and regardless of who wins, this country and the world will need our continued prayers and love.

It is not hard to see that evil has a very strong foothold on this earth at the moment. It feels like the prophets are screaming at the top of their lungs to repent and many of us refuse to hear.

God Bless the United States of America. Guide our steps and help soften the hearts of those whose hearts have hardened because of the world around us. Help them to understand the lies that are being sold as the truth and the evil that is being sold as good. Have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and let this beautiful country continue to be a sign of your love and peace.

I think you may want to rethink those two choices. Are you implying that a vote for Romney is a vote for Jesus Christ? :confused:

I disagree with this for the US. The Blessed Virgin Mary offered the Bishops the protection of the US if they installed the statue of Our Lady of America in the Basilica (this is a bishop approved private apparition). The Bishops have not acted on this, but it gives me hope that it is possible to gain the protection for our country and return to Christianity permeating our culture. But I doubt it is possible without doing exactly what Mary asked

But we don’t know exactly what God means by that. Personally, it looks like the Great Apostacy is well underway. So ??? 👍

If there is protection, it will not be forever. Not even Israel was protected forever.

Before Jesus returns the entire world must persecute Christians. We can only delay the inevitable.

Grow ? Perhaps. What kind of growth? that is another question. Prosper ? No, too isolated.or insulated.

Your view is an over-simplification absent of current world events.

We need to pray. A life of prayer and a life of the spirit, nurtured by the Sacraments of Confession and Communion. Pray the Rosary everyday.

Don’t let your guard down.
 
True, God’s providence can and does bring good out of all things. Out of the wreckage of the Roman Empire rose Christendom. But probably those in the generation that lived through the collapse of the empire probably did not experience it quite as an unmitigated good.
