Do people have a problem with authority? I respect this decision, especially if it is in the name of peace to prevent future arguments and heated discussions. Let’s not forget, “Traditional” or not, we are all Catholics; but who is more Catholic than the pope? Maybe we should work more on improving our own virtues rather than trying to “improve” a liturgy approved by the Vicar of Christ.

Peace and Love,

John

and certain traditionalists who sided with his views angrily wished
Do you really need to label and stereotype? Is it essential to make your point? Anyone who posted added fuel to the fire.

People have a problem with injustice, such as when special rules are made up to suppress a valid view point of one section of the community while all kinds of abhorrent and erroneous view points against catholic teaching on faith and morals are allowed without any restriction whatsoever.

Canon 212:3 They (LAITY) have the right, indeed at times the duty, in keeping with their knowledge, competence and position, to manifest to the sacred Pastors their views on matters which concern the good of the Church. They have the right also to make their views known to others of Christ’s faithful, but in doing so they must always respect the integrity of faith and morals, show due reverence to the Pastors and take into account both the common good and the dignity of individuals.

I might be mistaken, but isn’t the issue that the Vicar of Christ *is *trying to improve the liturgy and some people are upset about that?

Yeah I must be living under a rock, I’ve had no idea this was such a contentious subject. Real Catholic TV is a great resource. Just seems solidly Catholic to me, nothing for controversy. 🤷
The site it self is a great reseource for Catholic knowledge, they even have some Bishops and priest that give talks. Many peole have problem with the Vortix where it’s more opinioated segment.

Come on guys enough with the immaturatiy of sarcasm and bashing.

Guys, this thread has already degenerated into what the others have, which sort of justifies the mod’s decision(s). It probably would be in everyone’s interest if we just dropped it for awhile (especially in a warning thread).

This is not a thread for resuming discussion of Michael Voris and RealCatholicTV.

If you have questions about why the action was taken, fine. But those who use it to continue to discuss Voris run the same risk of having their accounts closed as those who open new threads on the subject.

This was done because I have had to close three threads in two days, and the threads were themselves bickerfests. Opening new threads in defiance of the closures was the problem. At some point in the future, Voris and RealCatholicTV may again be allowed topics of discussion, but not until it is no longer an issue of forum members ignoring moderation.

That would not be in the interests of traditional Catholics who are been silenced, what would be in everyone’s interest is if these trouble makers who deliberately cause these arguments to silence the voice of traditional Catholics were kept out of the traditional catholic section.

By suppressing traditional Catholics all you do is reward them for causing the argument.

Well that is not my experience at CAF, what I witness is that traditional Catholics are not free to be traditional Catholics here and are treat as second class Catholics who can be attacked with impunity and are then punished if they defend themselves.
can you point me to this CAF forum you speak of? because in this forum right here i feel that the OF, CITH, altar girls, etc. are continously attacked and people who go to OF masses are made to feel like irreverent fools

I’ll cut you a break because you were typing this about the same time I was typing my renewed warning. Be advised though that any further posts from anyone in this vein will be considered a refusal to follow mod direction.

I love how a thread saying that there should be no more arguments relating to Michael Voris has essentially become a thread of arguments that relate to Michael Voris.

Irony…and almost comical.

Moderator: “We are banning people who say they like ice cream flavors!”
Ice Cream Person: “But ice cream flavors are great, and I don’t see anything against speaking about them.”
Anti-Ice Cream Person: “These are boards for those who like peanut butter, not ice cream!”
Ice Cream Person: “But I can talk about ice cream if I want.”
Anti-Ice Cream Person: “No you can’t! LOOK AT WHAT I JUST SAID!”

Keep in mind that mocking mod direction is also an infraction of CAF rules and subject to a similar loss of posting privileges.

Oh, I wasn’t intending to mock you. I was just relating the irony to what’s happening in this thread.

Sorry. 🙂

People who do that get banned, people who attack traditional Catholics accusing them of been more catholic than the pope for example such as has once again been insinuated in this thread however go unpunished.

Traditional Catholics don’t like the things you speak of so what do you expect them to do in the traditional Catholic section?

If you don’t respect their view point and it upsets you then the logical thing would be to not go where you know you will find such views don’t you think?

I wasn’t mocking your use of the word. I have never heard the term “bickerfests” before and thought it would be a good word to remember.

Just a reminder, since I closed the last thread.
Moderator actions taken against users is NOT for public consumption.
Again, in plainer language, who did and who did not get spanked for this is against forum rules for discussion.
JoB did not say the Voris threads would be forever banned. Only until people calm down and can post rationally.
Please respect her decision.
Eric.

not in my experience
i’m not going to name names but they’re all here, none have been banned yet

charitable disagreement. besides, since the Church allows those, you can’t berate people for following the Church.

why do i get to respect their viewpoint if they don’t get to respect mine? shouldn’t respect be a 2-way street?

Thanks.

I wasn’t referring to that, but thanks.
Note:

As you all can tell now, this wasn’t an idle warning. Ignoring mod direction is a serious breach of CAF rules and will not be allowed. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

I began missing Advocatus_Fidei immediately after his first post. 😦
