I have decided to no longer respond to the Muslims on this forum, because I have come to the conclusion - after reading many, many posts by a number of Muslims on this board (like Planten, Paarsurrey, and Muslim Woman) - that all the Muslim users on CAF are just trolls. And I will not feed the trolls on this forum.

Hmm…but my neighbours are Muslim and I find them so refreshingly kind and open. And as the wife wraps her black shawl tightly around her head and neck in the hot Australian summer sun we chat cheerfully on matters of religion and culture, as warm, generous attitude often draws warm, generous responses.
I remember at a difficult time when my son was bearing heartache, I burst into tears whan speaking to a Muslim woman I met at a medical centre. She spontaneously hugged me and promised to pray for my son and me.
The internet sometimes allows any of us to sound more combatitive than would occur face to face, so feelings ruffle more easily sometimes.

Remember, they’re probably hurting from the encounters too. Perhaps you are right to leave the issues alone for now. Our focus is to grow in love and spirit, and to share our charity as our best witness as Christians and Catholics.

God bless you for your sincerity and industry…Trishie:)

i personally do not believe they are trolls. Most Muslims, in addition to being indoctrinated in things we do not believe in in the first place, are ignorant of both OT and NT, Tradition and history, that is why they apply their understanding of their scripture on our scriptures and theology, and they pick and chose without seeing the scriptures as a whole, without understanding the “why” of things, and without understanding what the Bible is in the first place. That is why it takes too much time to explain to them, because they lack the very basic. And they have a bad “habit” of not assimilating what is being explained, that is why they repeat the same question in the same thread as if it weren’t explained a thousand time.

Hi

This forum CAF is renowned for its charitable and peaceful discussions. I was amazed to see of late it had gone the Protestant way. It was never like that.

We don’t mind, this is your own forum. If you put a question, naturally, an answer would come.

Just relax and enjoy peaceful discussions; don’t mix it up with the current Politics of the world, that is not done here.

Please remain a charitable and peaceful Catholic; like we find many souls here.

My love to good Catholics; they are our brother/sisters in humanity, we all have to live and let others live in this world.

Thanks

take Parsurrey for example, **3190 posts **and he still asks : “was the Son always with the Father without a mother?”

😛

… “was the Son always with the Father without a mother?”
When there is a son & a father , naturally question arises about mom , what’s so funny ? :confused:

When Christian writes Muhammed (p) is greater than God to Muslims , then do u complain against him/her ?

I have decided to no longer respond to the Muslims …
Does it mean no more thread like The Nonsense of Islam ? Woow can u convince some Catholics to follow your example ? It will be great to take a rest 😃

Trishie :Remember, they’re probably hurting from the encounters too.

thanks for trying to understand our pain 🙂

Hi

We never mind. One has 7,072 posts yet vying for one who has only 3190 posts.

Eucharisted could stay and post double of 7072 or redouble it. We never mind; but with reasonable, rational and logical arguments.

Peace

Thanks

Sorry you feel that way. 😦

For all of us I guess…
Prayer attributed to St Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

You are spot on. This could be the frustration that Eucharisted and many Christians here experienced with them (Muslims).

We can understand the disagreements and the differences in theology but to shove into our throats despite being told million of times what are not Christians belief, can be very frustrating.

Examples:

Muslims thinks that what the ancient personalities of the Bible did like polygamy were all authorized and commanded by God.

They think that we can do and follow what these personalities did because they were prophets. I know they follow what Mohammad did - the killing, concubines, lying and pedophiling, but they do not understand that we only follow what were rights and not everything that the ancient personalities did.

I think we still have to engage these Muslims in discussion if anything at all, it is simply to clarify their nonsense for the sake of the onlookers.

Eucharisted has done a good job and I hope he continues.

you specifically should not ask this question because you had a thread dedicated specially for you .
So , to make Christians understand that in Islam , God is greater than all including Jesus & Muhammed (pbut) , I need to dedicate threads for each Christian ? :eek:

A troll is internet forum slang for a person who comes to a board only to create strife or to cause a scene. They are not interested in learning and they are not interested in true discussion, save that which can be used to disrupt the place.

what i said is simple . You cannot repeat the same questions when they were answered , and specifically dedicated for you. You simply cannot ask about the “mother” when we explained a thousand time that Son has nothing to do with physicality but is a spiritual title to speak about the Word of God and that you have to think about the Word when “son” is mentioned, and not about “mother”.

It is like Christians asking you about the Quran’s husband since the Quran is called the mother of books. No Christian will ask you about it because we are used to understand beyond the physicality of words, unlike you, and it isn’t your fault, since Muhammad himself asked how can Allah have a son if he has no wife so when we correct you, try to understand and assimilate instead of repeating the same questions, and this observation applies to all Muslims, that is why the OP is frustrated.

To the OP, i’d like to add, not out of arrogance or insult, but there is a difference in level between Islamic arguments and Christian ones, that is why it takes too much effort to explain things to Muslims, especially theology. Every muslim will answer you about the “works” to do as a Muslim, what to eat and how to dress and how to pray and what is the punishment for this and that, but rare are those who engage in theological discussions that attempt to go beyond the everyday life works, that is why threads about the uncreatedness of the Quran for example are not appreciated which explains why, when we have no problem engaging in deep theological arguments, Muslims have a problem following what we’re talking about. I’ve been on forums for years to know this, so don’t get frustrated, just understand where they’re coming from.

I see. I don’t talk to Muslims often, but I think I could put up with “trolls” in order to spread the Gospel.

There are two sides to every question…

I’m sure that Muslim Woman, and our other regular Muslim posters, get just as frustrated with our stubborn clinging to our Bible and Traditions as we do with their clinging to the Qu’ran and the Hadiths.

Personally, I’m glad they’re here. I have learned much more about Islam than I knew before, and I also have examples of peaceful Muslims who do not condone terrorism. I can no longer paint them all with the same brush.

To God be the glory,

Ruthie
