The purpose of my query is not to argue but to understand better.

Do you mean to say that similar to a piece of added clothing music will tend to diminish the value and appreciation of prayer?
There is no music in Islam. Musical concerts take a person away from the worship and rememberance of Allah. Today, we can clearly see the horrible outcome of Interest and Music in the world. See how much time is wasted in musical concerts. Then add to that the dance concerts, it may become too much There is more music and dance in the western countries than attendance in the church.

Even early non Muslim philosophers ( Socrates) disliked the singers and muscians and orators (See “The Republic”). He was a wise and honest person, very well known person.

To understand the policy of Islam on many other such matters, we see the Mosque. If anything is not being done openly in the Mosque then we know that is not allowed in Islam. There is no drinking, smoking dance and music in the Mosque. So music with musical instuments is not permitted except some kind of drums.

Not everyone has musical ability. If not everyone has it, then it must be a gift from God. Why would God give you a gift then forbid you from using it?

What a hateful God.
