It has been more than enough anwer for over 2,000 years. perhaps you dont like the answer?
Hi,
I was talking about this statement that I bolded. Just in case you didnt get the question;)
Why do you then have to re-receive him at every mass. Does he leave you so often?
But I understand if you dont want to answer it. Maybe another catholic here will.👍
I was just curious because I have never heard it asked this way before.😉

It has absoultely nothing to do with his leaving. It has everything to do with his admonition to eat his body and drink his blood. It was obvious by his actions at the last supper that he did not intend this to be a one time thing. In addtion he is physically present at all times in our Churches.

I hold our Lord and Savior in my hands several times a week. I eat his body and drink his blood several times a week. I am at a loss as to why our seperated Bretheren walked away form this. Perhaps thats a question you can anwer for us.

First, I don’t have to receive the Eucharist at every Mass. I can if I want to but I don’t have too.
Second, Christ is truly present in the Eucharist so why wouldn’t I receive him more then once?

ALLFORHIM, I believe (if my memory is right), you are a parent and you have a spouse. Has your spouse ever been away for long period of times? Or at least for several days? Or a week?
I forget how old your children are, but have you ever sent them away for camp for a week?

I’ve never have sent my kids to camp. (They are too young.) However my spouse has been away for long periods of time. (At least a week) Sure I talk to him over the phone daily and emailed him daily when he’s gone. (Just like I pray, talk to God daily). However I can tell you when my hubby is back from is long trip. I can’t help but be in his arms, hugging him, kissing him, etc. I just have to touch him… because I love my husband.

Similar thing when it comes to the Eucharist. My Lord is truly, physically there in the Eucharist and I can’t help but to embrace Him, to touch Him. I get the chance to physically touch him and I do… because I love HIM so much.

AMEN!

Not to be arrogant, but I truly don’t care whether the Catholic church believes that we possess the real presence in the Episcopal church or not. It has nothing to do with our beliefs or what God really does for those that truly gather in his holy name. God does not need the approval of the Catholic church to move about for his people nor is he encompassed by the Catholic church. The continual never ending sacrifice which is the propaganda of the Catholic church is not only not scriptural but also not necessary as Jesus died once for all sin. Do this for the remembrance of me. This is what we do at communion every Sunday, we do it for the remembrance of Jesus. I have experienced the true grace from our Lord Jesus and it doesn’t come from Mary or the authority of Rome.

Hello,
Jesus declared wherever two or more are gathered in my Name, there am I.
The real truth is that Jesus is where two or more are gathered.
And where two or three are gathered - Jesus is there. By the mystery and power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus is everpresent in our lives, and never leaves us orphaned.
Jesus is really present where two or more are gathered in His Name. But what is so special about the Eucharist? It is a mode of presence. In the Eucharist Jesus is truly, really, and substantially, that is physically present - Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

Hello,
Ah, but the Real Presence is possible in the Episcopal/Anglican Church. All of the last four Archbishops of Canterbury have valid apostolic succession. Therefore the ordinations they performed would be valid, but not licit.

John
How do you figure that they had valid apostolic succession?

They don’t. Period. Wishul thinking on the part of the Protestants.

The Church could not give you approval if they wanted to. Your Church unfortunatly rejected the Truth over 500 years ago and have given up much-the Real Presence being only one of them-because of their disobedience. It is even more sad when this diobedience leads to one mocking Mary.

There is hope. You can come home and hold HIM in your hands and consume his flesh and drink his blood… There are many here that will help your cross the Tiber-great joy awaits those who do,

No thanks, you can keep all of your rhetoric that I listened to for 34 years as it got me nowhere in the spirit. The Catholic church has become a legend in its own mind. The “we have it and you don’t” attitude isn’t helpful to anyone and it is surely not endorsed by our Lord Christ. As far as being home, I am home now in the Anglican church, where I truly have found Jesus and have been healed by the Holy Spirit and where I can worship God with the body of Christ.

Alleluia, Christ the passover has sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, Alleluia

You’ve made a claim. Now, please back that up. Show us proof that the Anglican Church does have a valid Eucharist.

**Scripture

I. Old Testament**

(a). Foreshadowing of the Eucharistic Sacrifice

Gen. 14:18 - this is the first time that the word “priest” is used in Old Testament. Melchizedek is both a priest and a king and he offers a bread and wine sacrifice to God.

Psalm 76:2 - Melchizedek is the king of Salem. Salem is the future Jeru-salem where Jesus, the eternal priest and king, established his new Kingdom and the Eucharistic sacrifice which He offered under the appearance of bread and wine.

Psalm 110:4 - this is the prophecy that Jesus will be the eternal priest and king in the same manner as this mysterious priest Melchizedek. This prophecy requires us to look for an eternal bread and wine sacrifice in the future. This prophecy is fulfilled only by the Eucharistic sacrifice of the Catholic Church.

**Malachi 1:11 - this is a prophecy of a pure offering that will be offered in every place from the rising of the sun to its setting. Thus, there will be only one sacrifice, but it will be offered in many places around the world. This prophecy is fulfilled only by the Catholic Church in the Masses around the world, where the sacrifice of Christ which transcends time and space is offered for our salvation. If this prophecy is not fulfilled by the Catholic Church, then Malachi is a false prophet. **

Exodus 29:38-39 – God commands the Israelites to “offer” (poieseis) the lambs upon the altar. The word “offer” is the same verb Jesus would use to institute the Eucharistic offering of Himself.

**Lev. 19:22 – the priests of the old covenant would make atonement for sins with the guilt offering of an animal which had to be consumed. Jesus, the High Priest of the New Covenant, has atoned for our sins by His one sacrifice, and He also must be consumed. **

**Jer. 33:18 - God promises that His earthly kingdom will consist of a sacrificial priesthood forever. This promise has been fulfilled by the priests of the Catholic Church, who sacramentally offer the sacrifice of Christ from the rising of the sun to its setting in every Mass around the world. **

Zech. 9:15-16 - this is a prophecy that the sons of Zion, which is the site of the establishment of the Eucharistic sacrifice, shall drink blood like wine and be saved. This prophecy is fulfilled only by the priests of the Catholic Church.

2 Chron. 26:18 - only validly consecrated priests will be able to offer the sacrifice to God. The Catholic priests of the New Covenant trace their sacrificial priesthood to Christ.

None of these are foreshadowing to any future daily offering, only to Jesus’s one and only offering on the cross. Jesus was foreshadowing at the Last Supper about the cross.

**

Hebrews 10

11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

**

Hebrews 10 is clear that Jesus Offered Himself once for all time, and is no longer being offered.

The living sacrifices in Malachi is those of believers living pleasing to God, going to worship Him.

**
Hebrews 13:15-16

15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. 16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

1 Peter 2

4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ

**

Believers, who have Christ dwelling in them are the pure offering, living their life for Christ, and denying themselves.

**

Mark 8:34

When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

No way to do that, given the judgement expressed in *Apostolicae Curae. * That is, whatever is the objective status of the Anglican orders, it is most assuredly true that the RCC does not recognise them as valid. And so, neither should any RC. Anglicans take a different view. For the most scholarly exposition of the Anglican position, try Fr. John Hughes’ two books on Apostolicae Curae, ABSOLUTELY NULL AND UTTERLY VOID, and STEWARDS OF THE LORD. They are the counter argument to Francis Clark’s ANGLICAN ORDERS AND DEFECT OF INTENTION, which is the best exposition of what Cardinal Vaughan got out of the Papal commission. Fr. Hughes is a former Anglican priest, now a RC priest, and the first known to have been ordained sub conditione, when he crossed the Tiber.

It is a complicated and sad subject.

if some protestant said that they have the real presence just like catholic does, i wonder what do they do with the leftover communion bread. do you worship the blessed sacrament?May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be Adored, Glorified, Loved & Preserved throughout the world, now & forever. Sacred Heart of Jesus, please pray for me. Saint Jude, Worker of Miracles, please pray for me. Saint Jude, Helper of the Hopeless, please pray for me. Amen:)

34 years? is that all?. becuase in order to reject the one True Church you have to reject 2,000 years of teachings. On one hand we have a Church founded by Jesus himslef, on the other hand we have a Church founded on the uncontrolable lust of a earthly king.

Due to lack of Holy Orders, or Sacraments. Most Protestant Churches lack the Real Presence of Jesus Christ.

Only the two large main Christian body which is both the Catholic Church and Orthodox Church maintain Holy Orders and valid Sacraments. Therefore, these Churches have Real Presence of Jesus in the form of Bread and Wine, which has become Jesus Christ. For His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity is there but hidden in the appearance of Unleaven Bread (leaven Bread / E. Rite/Orthodox).

Though there are Protestant Tradition that have bishops in the Anglican Churches and Episcopalian, they do not have valid sacrament since the Church of England broke their union with Rome during the Reformations.

There is some presence of Jesus Christ but only in Spiritual form in the communities founded in the Protestant Churches but they lack Real Presence of Jesus Christ. I have been approached several times by Non-Catholic Christians to go to to alter in an Non-Denomination Church and I said to myself. "Why should I join this Church since this Church lack the Blessed Lord’s Real Presence? I cannot. So I remain Catholic. The Jesus’ Presence in the Blessed Sacrament is the only that has kept me Catholic.

If I leave, where will I go? Maybe I can go as far as the Eastern Orthodox Church. Yet I remain a Catholic.

For you Non-Catholic Christians who want us to leave our Church, convince us why we should leave. For I tell you there is no Real Presence of Jesus in your Church. Not One.
You know Manny… I really do TRULY want to give you the benefit of the doubt but with titles like the one you use here it is a hard thing to do brother… *sigh…

It absolutely breaks my heart to think that in order to feel Jesus’ presence you have to eat bread and drink wine… “Whenever two or more are gathered in my name…”
Matthew 18:20 (King James Version):
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

You constantly quote John 6 out of context.

They were not satisified with being fed, they asked for more miracles. Jesus told them:

**

29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

**

They pushed Him some more.

He also said:

**

John 6

63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing**. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him.

The context of John 6 is to believe in Him.

Jesus is present in Christian Churches that gather truely in His name.

**

John 4:23-24
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

**

He already dwells in the hearts of believers.

**

John 14:17
the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

**

Why do you then have to re-receive him at every mass. Does he leave you so often?
I have not taken any words out of context, my friend. Jesus said He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood will have eternal life. This is further supported by Paul in his letter to the 1 Cor 11, which he states, "27 Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man prove himself: and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of the chalice. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord. 30 Therefore are there many infirm and weak among you, and many sleep.

Why did Paul call the bread and wine Body and Blood of the Lord? He could have said, “whoever shall eat this bread and drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily shall be guilty of symbolical take body and blood of the Lord.”

We don’t see that. Often Protestants use the the verse which you cited, "It is the spirits that gives life. Yet there is no word for symbolic here. Not one. Yes the Spirit gives indeed life, and the flesh profit nothing if he does not believe.

Jesus say we have to Believe that we Have to EAT his flesh and Drink his Blood. To deny this is not to believe in him. Protestants have distorted the Real Presence and they continue to persist in their erroneous doctrines, especially the Real Presence.

The Orthodox also affirm Real Presence and I believe their sacraments are valid because they maintain valid Holy Orders. Though they do not use the same terms we Catholic used, they affirm that Jesus is present.

I don’t believe pride has nothing to with this. I desire Protestants to received the Body and Blood of the Lord. Not symbollically. I must say, that had the Protestant maintain valid Holy Orders and kept the Real Presence, perhap I would give them respect concerning the Body and Blood of the Lord that we should eat Him. Yet they don’t. Some maintain but their Sacraments are invalid.
