No Rome/SSPX Accord

Just saw this today. it would appear that all bets are off.

Oh this is not good. Is there any information on the main sspx website or news outlets? I don’t usually go directly to those sites because it distresses me.
 
I will wait until I see something more official. This blog looks rather one-sided.
 
There’s no real quote or attribution etc.

Regardless of what this particular blog is saying…PLEASE keep praying 🙂 I’m joining the Dominicans in October and our Community is praying DAILY for the reunion of SSPX. Don’t give up hope 🙂 The man in charge of trying to reconcile the group is a Dominican…We will continue our daily prayer until steps are made toward reconciliation! I still believe it’s possible! God Bless!
 
I do hope and pray that the SSPX fully reunite with Rome soon.

That said, it seems to me that the SSPX are a little prideful and disobedient in this whole thing. The Vatican has tried very hard to reconcile with the SSPX but the SSPX refuses all offers.

Mrs. Sally, I know you didn’t mean this to be funny, but I found it so.

They distress me too!
 
I saw this news today as well. I can only hope it is not true. If it is and we are looking at years or generations I fear it may never happen. COME ON SSPX lets pull it together and do the right thing!
 
I will pray the accord comes soon, but I do not see the SSPX as prideful. I see them as doing their utmost to defend the Catholic Faith.

If you are going to defend the faith, then get behind the walls with the rest of us, and obey the Pontiff.
 
:rolleyes:I stand by what I said. I’m pretty sure the Pontiff would like to have them back in the fold because of their faithfulness. Their website states quite clearly their position on The Faith. It’s not exactly frightening–it’s just orthodox.

Pope Benedict XVI is the measure of faithfulness; not the Society of St. Pius X.
 
I only have one question…Why is it so difficult for those in charge of HMC to just grant us far wider use of the EF of the Mass…I do not try to deny others who approve whole-heartedly of the OF , why do they deny me?🤷
