Your question is quite interesting, does a Saint in heaven or a human on Earth have free will, seems to be it.
So I will play a scenario for you, you are married, you love your wife dearly. She asks you to get her a chocolate cake.
You, on the other hand, totally hate chocolate.
But you go out and buy her the cake, bring it to your wife and both of you eat it, without letting her know your dislike.
Clearly you are free to NOT buy the chocolate cake. You could go out and buy a strawberry and whipped cream cake instead, which you do love or flatly deny her request.
But because there are is a relationship of love you do this for her.
This is what I think goes one with Saint in Heaven. He sees GOD who’s love Himself. And because of this he also loves all that GOD loves which is all and everyone of us.
Please don’t ask for an intercession on chocolate cake.
Peace!
