No salvation outside of the Roman Catholic Church?

Gee… I don’t see any quotes from 1Peter, and (as expected) from John 6… the BIG obstacle for those who have walked away from the Catholic Church.

It is difficult to say one will “believe” in Jesus Christ, and then not believe in all His Words. The Real Presence is what separates Catholics from all the faith communities who are missing so much.

Perhaps you are among those who see only a symbolism in John 6. Do not be afraid… it is up to God when He will open your eyes. In the meantime, pray.

.ACTS is a great read… so much about the early days of the Church… the procedures, the bishops/priests/deacons etc which still exist today only in the Catholic Church.

And this Sunday we Catholics again celebrated the feast of Pentecost… the birthday of our Church.

The Catholic religion is composed of traditions which are NOT based upon the Word of God. Matthew 23:9 warns us not to reverence any man as “Father.” Yet, this is exactly what the Catholic religion practices. 1st Timothy 4:1-3 warns us about the Catholic religion…

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” -1st Timothy 4:1-3

What religion teaches it’s members not to eat meat (such as during Lent)? Catholicism!!! What religion forbids its priests from getting married? Catholicism!!! It has always been disturbing to me that ANYONE would be so gullible to join the Catholic religion in light of such irrefutable Scriptures. What’s so ironic is that the Catholic Bible contains the exact verses I just gave you. The problem is that Catholic people are not encouraged to read their Bibles by the Vatican, so they don’t. Catholics listen to the “holy father” in Rome, the local priest, and their catechisms instead of studying the Word of God for themselves. The traditions of the Catholic religion are “doctrines of devils.” How do I know this? Simply because the teachings of the Catholic religion are CONTRARY to the Holy Word of God.

The reason why the Catholic religion is so popular is because people are looking for someone to STRUCTURE their life. The Catholic church offers a package deal from the cradle to the casket, from infant baptism to have your last rites read over your dying body. By nature, we don’t like to do anything by faith. I like to see exactly where I’m going to land before I leap. The Catholic religion lays it all out for people to see, a systematic plan…baptism, confirmation, holy Eucharist, the rosary, marriage, confession, last rites…and much more. It seems like a great way to go, somebody to tell me exactly what to do make God happy. The PROBLEM is that most of the teachings of the Catholic religion are merely traditions, doctrines of devils, NOT found anywhere in the Bible. According to the Bible, there were also foolish religious people in Jesus’ day…

The Roman Catholic Church has perverted the Bible and substituted tradition in making priests out of preachers or elders.
Since the Bible clearly teaches that now there is to be no more sacrifice for sins, and since the Old Testament priesthood has been succeeded by one priest, Jesus Christ, who has offered one sacrifice forever, then there is no teaching of a priesthood to offer sacrifices in the New Testament. There are elders, preachers. Some of these elders had official positions as pastors or supervisors of local congregations. It is true that in the spiritual sense, all Christians are to be “kings and priests unto God” (I Pet. 2:9; Rev…5:10). But there was no official priestly work done by anyone as an officer of a church, as an elder or bishop in Bible times. It was not even specified that an elder or bishop should even be present when people took the Lord’s Supper. It had no official significance. It was a simple little object lesson, a ceremony of remembrance. And there is not a single hint anywhere that the Lord’s Supper had any saving power. It was not a sacrifice. It was never called that in the Bible. That is a false doctrine, manufactured by the Church of Rome, which contradicts the Bible, adds to the Bible, and so brings the plagues of the Bible upon the Roman Church.

I have not room here to discuss all the innovations, all the strange and unscriptural doctrines and practices which have been invented by Roman Catholic hierarchy. In the Bible there was no pope and no papal authority, no papal infallibility. There were no prayers to Mary, no doctrine of Mary’s Immaculate Conception nor of her body’s ascension to Heaven. There were no penances, no indulgences, no confessions to priests, no orders of monks or nuns. All of this is manufactured, not only without the Bible but contrary to the plain teachings of the Word of God.

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God…” -Exodus 20:4,5

Lest you have forgotten, the Traditions (not the traditions of men) were the oral teachings of the early Church. Guided by the Holy Spirit, the human authors of our book, The Bible, wrote down much of the Traditions - the oral teachings.

Lest you have forgotten, our Bible also reminds us that not all what the Lord taught the Apostles is contained in Scripture.

Lest you have forgotten, it was the Catholic Church through whom the Scriptures were given for the world to benefit from.

Lest you have forgotten, our Catholic Book - the Bible - reminds you that the pillar and foundation of the Truth is not the Bible… it is the Church.

No meat… a discipline, not a Tradition… good for fasting (that is biblical)

No married priests… a discipline, not a Tradition… St Paul, the Catholic Apostle to the Gentiles, even wished more would be like him so as to serve God in His Church alone… without the added responsibilites of spouse and children.

Someone to structure our lives… exactly… we need Church, Tradition, Scripture, The Holy Spirit, and our conscience. As each group breaks away from Catholicism one of these is often tossed out… first the Church… then Tradition…

Non -Catholics will lay claim to our Scripture and then say the Holy Spirit guides them in their division (yeh right), and their conscience is their guide too… what "structure is that??

Call no man father… ?? have you tossed all the scriptural references to Abraham and Paul…
Jesus was warning us to not call those Father who were not truly fathers (spiritual)… and you and I gladly follow His heed… thus none of your pastors or leaders are called Father, (hhmmmm)

But I see that you have assumed the work of a ministerial priesthood in your life by teaching and instructing what is your truth. Perhaps you should read Numbers and see what happened to Korah and his followers…
Then read Jude. He warns the NT converts against the same punishment for the same sinful actions… gee , kinda implies that there were ministerial priests in the only Church founded by the only High Priest, Jesus Christ… if we are warned not to assume their duties.

If you give me $10, those $10 are now mine, not yours anymore.
If I then choose to give $5 of these away, it is I who have given the money, not you, since you ceased to “own” the money when you gave them to me.

True, I didn’t specify in my earlier post what the money was to be used for, but clearly, sharing it with someone even less fortunate than yourself is covered by “donor intent.”
