I never used STM as I do not get long enough stretches of sleep. I can imagine that being an issue for most new moms. This would be a reason to meet with trainers.
I’ve used NFP(stm) for 10 years. I didn’t trust it until my cycles returned (and had several months of charts) You can’t temp because it only tells you when you’ve already ovulated and are in a permanent phase 1 just relying on mucus observation. You have to be really confident to do that effectively. It takes a long time after pregnancy to build your body back up after and everybody is different.
