No sin, no death! Right?

If man does not sin, he is not going to die right?
However, because of original sin we are all doomed to die right?
Repentance can only save the soul and not the body right?

So is it right always to associate death to sin?

I just read this passage today morning. Luke 13: 1-6

…Jesus answered them, “Because those Galileans were killed in that way, do you think it proves that they were worse sinners than all other Galileans? No indeed! And I tell you that if you do not turn from your sins, you will all die as they did. What about those eighteen people in Siloam who were killed when the tower fell on them?..And I tell you that if you do not turn from your sins, you will all die as they did.”

I once heard of a US priest who said that hurricane Katrina was due to the sin of the people in that area (or something like that) and he was criticised for saying that.

If death can only be caused by sin then is it (or isn’t it) fair to associate the dead victims of natural disasters to sin? (Just a humble question). As you can see in the passage I quoted above, Jesus kind of associated a natural disaster to sin.

I believe that the death is that is said in the Bible is both spiritual and bodily.

Once baptized AND made it till the end of his/her life, a person can attain eternal life WITH God. Others, when they die, attains eternal separation from God. The latter separation is the kind of death that Jesus was referring to in Luke, I guess – a death of unrepentant soul.

Christians also believe that at the ends of Time, we will be given glorified body hence we will still live eternally as humans – having both body and soul.

Sin causes a break in ALL of Nature. The Original Sin caused the world to offer thorns and even birth pains. Hence, even other sins can lead Nature to just turn away from being “good.”

Remember, everything was made “good” until Man committed sin.
