**Because it isn’t enought for God, that’s why.👍 **
says who? catholics? protestants? jews? muslims?
let’s not start that debate.

oh right, it’s right there in the bible right?
face it, no one knows what’s enough for god.

if christians knew what was enough for god,
there wouldn’t be a hundred different denominations.

i don’t. that’s why i’m agnostic.
there may be multiple truths.

i live life as i see it. it’s subject to change
as i change, grow as i grow.

i do not live in fear of going to hell.
i do not live in hopes of going to heaven.

i live life as a simple human being
made of the earth.

i see beauty in nature and that is enough for me.
i don’t need a book to tell me where god is.

when i want to be a little closer to god,
i’m not gonna go hide myself from him
inside a steel dome. i’ll go out into the
mountains, forest and rivers and i’ll look
inside myself for him.

thanks for your questions
If you dont know the truth why is it imoportant to you to try and convince the rest of us that we dont know the truth? Are you trying to convince us or trying to convince yourself?

even if they are of the same denomination.
Hi

I think it is no strange; no two persons have the same appearance, this only shows they are specially created by GodAllahYHWH and if they purify their beliefs and do good deeds they would be enitled to special favors from Him.

Thanks

No two people have the same exact belief
Hi

This also speaks of the free will and that humans could share their wiews with oneanother and benefit from it.

Thanks

After thinking about this I have to deny the premise of this thread. No, every person does not believe a different thing. They all might approach it from a slightly different angle but that is not the same as saying they believe a different thing. All Catholics believe that Jesus Christ is God in the fullest sense of the word. They all will profess that He is the incarnation of the Son of God. Do they each have a slight different perspective on it? Of course, but as pearsurrey said it only points to the special creation of each individual by God. We are each created as a person for a specific relationship to God and to the rest of mankind. We can not trade places.

Maybe every atheist could be said to believe something different but not every Christian. Due to the indwelling of the Holy Spirit we are all enlightened to the same truths. We might each have special insights since we are each distinct persons but that does not mean we believe differently. We were each created for the sake of communion in the body of Christ with the persons of the Trinity. Consequently we each maintain a unique place within the Church which can not be replaced but at the same time we are all recieving enlightenment from the Holy Trinity.

hi windyhair, I beg to differ, according to my research my faith and belief system has not changed for 2000 years as a Roman Catholic. Maybe I should mention here that the Catholic church is not a denomination.

But I do agree with you, that all denominations that have seperated themselves from the Holy Catholic Apostolic church are not in agreement with each other.

Ony the one Holy Catholic apostolic Church which is the body of Jesus Christ World wide hear, see, believe, taste, feel, smell the word of God made present to all Catholics world wide, did I mention also hear the same Gospel of Jesus Christ at every Mass.

Peace be with you

i would say your research is flawed.
catholic dogma changes about every 50 years or so i’d say.

CAn you give us proof of that assertion? Or, would it be easier if I gave you a couple of dogmas and you could show me the timeline of changes?

i can’t give you timeline of changes but i can give you
a couple dogmas.
  1. celibacy among the priesthood
  2. physical presence of christ in the eucharist

Celibacy is not a dogma, it is a discipline that can change and has.

The Real Presence has not changed since the Lord Jesus said, “This is my Body.” The depth of our understanding of this Mystery can develop, but that will not change and cannot change the Dogma.

You beat me to it.

Windy,
Show us how it has changed every 50 years. Or at all.

my point exactly. who’s to say which
is right or wrong, or wich is truth or not?
one shirt does not fit all.
I don’t know.

Who’s to say that that cyanide is poisonous? Rasputin was had a “malady” which made him immune to it.

Who is to say ‘don’t touch that hot stove?’ My elder son did cautiously, and never got hurt, my second son slapped his hand on never saw harm, my niece did and got blisters and screeched.

Who is to say you should go to university? college? high school? elementary? kindergarten? Many didn’t and did fine.

What else are we going to put up to our feelings? Gravity?

jimmy, what if truth is playdough
that can take many shapes and forms?

just because you believe in your shape
does not mean that other shapes cannot exist.
Hmmmm.

Yes, why not?

I’m always been impressed how the Nazis manages in a few short years to create a mythos, restructure a society and rewrite history and redirect science.

How’s that work for you?
as a mere human being, i don’t assume to
know God. i hope that he exists, and that
is good enough for me.

but even if he doesn’t, I exist.
and there are things i’d like to do
before i die, like leaving the world
a little bit better. i don’t need a book
to tell me this.
everyone did what was right in his own eyes Judges 21:25

Better? Who’s to tell?

Lenin died thinking he left the world “better.” Did he?
