I would prefer to have one missal that has both the Sunday AND the weekday masses included rather than having two separate missals. Does anyone know of a resource?

Thanks and God be with you.

For Novus Ordo? That’d make a pretty large volume, and I suspect there mightn’t be enough demand to make it worthwhile to produce one.

I use the Magnificat missal. It’s a monthly publication that has Sunday and weekday masses plus morning, evening and nighttime prayers. There are also reflections and devotions appropriate to the liturgical season that the church is in.

The best missal for the Ordinary Form of the Mass is the Daily Roman Missal:

It is an outstanding volume, that even contains the propers in Latin, numerous prayers, and reflections on the Mass for each day. This is a link to one version of it, but its available in several versions. There are leatherbound versions, faux-leather versions, hardcover versions, and large-print editions each in several colors. You’ll want to hunt around for the best price and the edition that you like best. Also, be sure that you get the more recent edition. Earlier versions used the New Jersualem Bible, but the new version uses the same revised version of the New American Bible that’s read at Mass in the US. Also, according to the advertisements for it:

This new edition is updated with the guidelines of the Bishop’s Committee on the Liturgy. It also features the new English translation of the daily and Sunday readings from the Revised New American Bible.
Code:
* Type is larger, easier to read.
* All the readings for a day are now contained in each entry, not referenced throughout the volume.
* Both the long and short forms of readings are printed.
* Illustrations from illuminated manuscripts grace the pages.
* The sixteen new saints in the Church's calendar of feast days are added.
* Relevant passages from the Catechism of the Catholic Church offer an educational perspective on the liturgies for Sundays, feast days, and solemnities.
* Devotional prayers for before and after Mass have been expanded with new translations more literal and faithful to the Latin originals.
Be aware, however, that the entire English text of the Mass is being revised and changed to reflect a more accurate translation. There will be significant changes that will be implemented around 2010-2011. So, it may be a good time to hold off for a few years given that the Missal can be somewhat expensive.

The other alternative is to get Magnificat, a beautiful monthly missal that you subscribe to in the mail that is sent directly to your door. It is quite reasonable and has loads of additional prayer materials included.

word among us is another monthly devotional which can be purchased in a version with all the Sunday and daily readings, and order of the Mass, somewhat larger type size and magazine size than Magnificat.
