If you look at different categories up at the top, there is one called Non- Catholic. Click on that and WAY down the list back to Dec. 19th is a now locked thread called “On Tiber’s Shore”. There is also a new one called “On Tiber’s Shore II”. These are posts, sometimes heartbreaking, about spouses who are being called by God to be Catholic, and about their spouses fighting them tooth and nail. Start with “On Tiber’s Shore”, and you will get a feel for what it’s like for what your wife is going through.
I REALLY, REALLY commend you for wanting to understand what she is going through. I like the idea of you going to RCIA with her. You would not be converting, but being supportive of her and understanding and learning the whys of what Catholics believe. After classes, then go have a coffee and talk about what you’ve both learned. How can that not bring you closer?
