Binky: 🙂

Thanks for sharing … I love to get other people’s perspective who aren’t on the same sheet of paper.

It really can be an eye opening  experience for all of us. Hopefully, it will teach us to be better people.

Thanks for DOING THE RIGHT THING for our Catholic brethren … Thanks. 👍

Our local Rescue Mission will not allow Catholics to serve on the Board.

But our Catholic Church handled it the right way–at Lent, they collected a large cash donation for the Rescue Mission and sent it to them.

🙂

:clapping: :clapping: WOW … what a call to the faith … you guys were stuck out - but hit a home run anyway!

A friend of mine once retorted that at least she didn’t have to “sit in a box” to be forgiven. Because we know each other, I was all over her and we had a long discussion in that same conversation I heard the age old question “…and how come I can’t receive communion in your church… you are welcome to receive communion in mine…”

I am sorry to say I did not get very far with her. She is one of those who loves to just hear herself talk. I haven’ t given up though.

The great thing about confession … is that is was instituted by our Lord … but I have learned that by confessing to someone in the persona of Christ … you are held accountable for your actions and you must repent.

It keeps us HUMBLE … and less likely to SIN AGAIN … at least in the same way … 👍

Faith is very personal (as is politics) and as such, I believe people get very defensive.

The best defense against this kind of behavior is patience. The second is a good working knowledge of your Faith, and why you accept it, and not some of the other foolishness that is out there.

Visit the apologetics threads on this site, and read and learn.

:amen: yes, the best defense is a good offense (i think that is how it is said)

what people think of catholicism

Catholic: absolute truth :angel1:
Protestant, liberal: christians somewhat like me, but subjected to authority I reject :gopray:
Protestant, fundy: the whore of babylon from the revelation
Atheist: just another christian sect

I guess what’s true or prejudice is everybody’s own prejudice.
