Non-Catholic woman and head covering

If I was to bring my mother along to the Extraordinary form of Mass, should she, not Catholic, cover her head? And also, since we both wouldn’t be receiving communion, what is customary to do (i.e. stay in our seats as is usually done)? Thanks!

If you cover, and all the women that attend do as well, then have her cover with a hat, beret, scarf, or whatever she’s comfortable with. If she’s not comfortable with a headcovering, don’t force the issue.
