Non-Catholics attending Mass

Doesn’t the inside cover of the missalette offer a welcome to all with an explanation why non Catholics should not receive Communion? Could you may have misunderstood and that’s what he may have been referring to…Communion?

The priest can celebrate Mass totally alone and not everywhere can they go up for a blessing.

Like Phemie already mentioned, not every parish allows people to go up for a blessing at communion time. My priest doesn’t believe in this practice. You’d get some really strange looks at my parish if you expected a blessing.

I personally have never heard of anyone being turned away from a Catholic church on those grounds. The order of the Sacraments have changed recently where I live, Confirmation is now made before Eucharist at around age 8/9.
