Actually, yes!

I come from a mainly protestant environment, therefore I was teached a rather distorted view on Catholics.

This board really helped to get some first hand insights.

I know that, but I also, know that your comment was condescending. Believe me when I say you aren’t able to figure out God and his plans. And as a Catholic Christian, whom God loves, too,I felt it neccesary to remind you, that it is less than humble to assume that you have exclusive rights to understanding scripture.God Bless

Lisa,

Spoken doesn’t think he has exclusive rights to understanding scripture. If you read scripture and you agree with his interpretation then you too have the ability to understand scripture. It’s not just Spoken, but everyone that agrees with Spoken that has that ability. OK? 😉

Hi Lisa,

Just a thought on your posting style. I don’t know if you are aware, but you don’t have to use two posts. You can select the “Quote” button and then scroll down in the edit box to below the quoted text, as I’ve done here, and type your response. Hope you find this helpful.

I’ve learned that Protestant and Catholic are alot more alike in some ways than I thought. As well, I have learned that V2 was very helpful for relations. I am glad that the coucil took place.

I have also learned that Protestants and Catholics often talk past each other.

Most importantly, I have learned about many people whom I can’t wait to see in heaven (really . . . on the New Earth, not heaven since heaven is the place that God resides and He will make his abode on the new earth).

Do you think there will be Starbucks? Sure you do . . .we’ll hang out there. Who is in?

Michael
