Fellow Catholics claim Jesus, the ultimate Good, our Savior, and God, can be found in every Catholic tabernacle in the world. You can pray in his presence during Eucharistic Adoration.

Have any of you non-Catholic Christians given this a try?

Is it something worth considering?

(I am a Catholic and have been to Adoration; I’m asking Protestants)

Yes I have. Even prayed for faith. It was not forthcoming. Gave it up after a few months.

I did when I was a Catholic. I always tried to convince myself that I felt something, but I really can’t say I did.

I did a number of years after I became a LDS. I enjoyed praying at the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel. I am not particularly prone to what LDS call “feeling the spirit” or what a Catholic might call “ecstacy.”
But, it was a good experienced and a nice place to pray.

Anglo-Catholics, among others of the breed, have exposition and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, irregularly. From the tabernacle, of course.

Yes, as to all likely comments that might follow, I know.

Why worship the sun? It’s a creation that will die out in a few million years. I would understand worshipping Pan or Zeus, but the sun?

That’s my natural reaction to it. Always has been since as far back as I can remember. I don’t think I could NOT worship it.

I’m an Anglican, but I will become Catholic. Adoration was one of the many things that helped me through my journey.

I don’t understand. I absolutely HATE the sun. Those hot days in Florida when the Sun is literally biting at my neck 😭

Seriously though, if you admire the Sun, why not search for the maker of the Sun. Would he not be infinitely more radiant?

The universe made the Sun, and while I’m a big fan, nothing quite inspires, moves and thrills me like the Sun does.

What made the Universe? We have plenty of evidence that the Universe is currently expanding, and had a clear and definite starting point.

It’s just an interesting topic. I’ve never encountered one who actually worships the Sun. That’s usually just a fringe Protestant accusation.
