Prayer is my opportunity to communicate directly with God. I’ve seen threads on CAF that ask “How you have a ‘personal relationship’ with God, do you go bowling or something?” No Dear, I pray. I Tell God all I have to say and then I quietly listen for His response. I meditate on His Word. He already knows all my needs, desires, hopes, and dreams Yet He allows me still to communicate with Him.
Worship is harder to define, Prayer is a form of worship as is sacrifice and singing to God. It is anything we do that leaves us focused on the awesomeness, power, glory, and love of God while reminding us that we are unworthy of all He grants us. A Pastor of mine used to say “If you gotta miss part of Church, skip the sermon and be sure you don’t miss the Worship time!” Though even learning Gods word while hearing the sermon could be a form of Worship as well.
Sacrifice is what I am called to do everyday. I am to Sacrifice all that I am and all that I have and all that I desire for the cause of Christ. "Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will."
