Years ago, I read a collection of books called the “Essene Gospel of Peace” by Edmond Bordeaux Szekely. The group who identified themselves as “Essenes” practiced “biogenics”…I think that what it was called.
They use some of the writings of the Dead Sea Scrolls too as I remember. They speak of the “Sky Father” and “Earth Mother”.

It doesn’t sound as if they actually have much to do with the historical Essenes. But admittedly our knowledge of the historical Essenes is fragmentary (literally!).
