Non-Christian Countries

It seems to me that all the “nice” countries in the world are “Christian countries”. Are there any “nice” non-Christian countries in the world? 🤷

By “nice”, I mean somewhere you’d want to live and raise children; A country with prosperity and progress. 🙂

And I would refer “Christian countries” as one built on prodominately Christian populations with Christian principles - you know, love thy neighbour, live and let live, etc… 😉

I can maybe think of one country; Singapore. But I’ve never been there so I don’t really know.

Perhaps I’m biased. 😦

Careful…you’re getting kinda close to “prosperity gospel”, at least implicitly.
Your comparison is problematic in other respects too. Do the US and Canada qualify as Christian? That’s how we started…not that great of a track record now, but in a worldly sense, good places to live. Also, many Christian countries I’d never want to live, various African nations for examples. Parts of Ireland are or were under war. On the other hand, I don’t think South Korea or Japan are “Christian countries”, but seem good places to live.

I’m from singapore.

singapore is not a christian country… Maybe you thought that most singaporeans speak and write english… but is not… it is secular state.

The faith of singaporeans majority still belong to Buddhsim… about 75% or more… christianity maybe 5-8% while the reat are islam and othrs…

The catholic population here is abt 170,000 of the whole population. We have 30 parishes including the cathedral.

Christianity is fast growing… esp prostestanism while the catholic faith is also gaing momentum only slightly slower. the reason I suspect was help by the education esp english… as english is quite widely spoken here, it has fuelled the growth. I believe chrsitianity in s’pore will springboard to neigbouring countries thru the people working here. and also thru many of singaporeans overseas particulary in countries where christianity is still a minority.

RCIA is conducted here ans so is Alpha and CAFE courses. I was told at one parish about 100 to 200 non catholics were baptised during easter. And is some parishes a lot of attendance for teh RCIA. Some came to know the catholic faith while others want to know the meaning of life. Others have catholic spouse or friend who have been great witnesses to these people.
