This is what I will attempt to reply with.

All of the contradictions you bring up are simply differences in the way the original Hebrew was translated. Another more important problem is in what you claim these differences prove. You say that because of these differences the bible is shown to be corrupt. However lets think about this. Say I was a scribe, corrupting scripture to suit my fancy. So I added or took away words to change translations to mean what I wished. Then I give these out for others to see. Wouldn’t someone notice the differences I had added? Wouldn’t I be called out for my attempt at twisting scripture? Your claims mean that the entire learned population of ancient Israel or early Christendom was corrupted as well. After all, all it would take would be for one man to “spill the beans” so to speak, to the lay men and this whole operation would fail. That isn’t even counting any lay men who listened in Church or Synagogue who may have noticed a difference in the readings. Your claims make no sense. Where are the books indicting the corrupters? Where are the outraged riots among the lower classes as their holy books are changed as men see fit?

Another major problem with the bible being corrupted is that islam ceases to make sense as a result. As the Quran says:

Those who follow the Messenger, The unlettered Prophet, Whom they find mentioned In their own (Scriptures)—In the Law and the Gospel— … It is they who will prosper. (Qur’an 7:157)[2]

And remember, Jesus, The son of Mary, said: “O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (Sent) to you, confirming The Law (which came) Before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger To come after me, Whose name shall be Ahmad *.” (Qur’an 61:6)

How can we be expected to find prophecies of Muhammad in the corrupt tome you claim us to have? After all if the bible is so easily corrupted how can we trust anything it says? If I were a lawyer would I be expected to use a text which I know to be heavily corrupted? Because of this I disagree with Islam’s claims the the bible is corrupt.

Anyone see anything I could improve? Anything that seems weak?*

A Muslim gave this list of corruptions of the bible. I don’t know how to refute his examples. Does anyone here know how to?

Can ye (o ye men of Faith) entertain the hope that they will believe in you?- Seeing that a party of them heard the Word of Allah, and perverted it knowingly after they understood it. (2:75)

Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:“This is from Allah,” to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. (2:79)
There are many who heard the word of God yet still sin. There were gnostics/heretics who wrote/compile their own versions. There are still many that interpret The Bible in their own personal capacity. From Fr Zakaria website: The Cow chapter( Surat Al-Baqarah) 75:" Do you covet that they will believe in you ,while a party of them used to hear the word of Allah , then falsify it after they understood it, and they know that "

Imam Al-Baydawy said: “Do you covet that they will believe in you (meaning the Jews) as a party of their ancestors used to hear the word of God (the Taurât) then falsify it…meaning to misinterpret it and construe it as they wish …” after they understood it" meaning that they understood it by their mind and clarify each doubt in it"

So from the exegesis of Imam Al-Baydawy, it is obvious that the falsification accusation was not in the texts of Holy Bible but in the interpretation and exegesis

That verse clarifies that only one party of Jews were performing that falsification of the interpretation, and not all of the Jews that proves that the falsification was not in the text of the verses as in such case all the Jews would commit that misdeed and not group of them

In the utterance of the verse:" hear the word of Allah, then falsify it" meaning that the word of God was existing without falsification, and they are still hearing it as evidenced by his saying" to hear the word of Allah , then falsify it" notice here the suffix" then" and all the linguistics know well that " then" means ordering the events in succession , meaning that they hear the word of God then after hearing it they falsify its meaning "
Actually, the Qur’an mentions that the Bible got corrupted. Furthermore, the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, told us not to consult the people of the Book lest they tell us something false and we accept it, and lest they tell us something true and we reject it.
“After all, “we sent down the Torah to you…””, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) did not receive the Torah. The story in the modern day Torah is of no importance. It goes on to show the envy of the Jews who changed it.
From Fr Zakaria Boutros:
*
"The quran attested for the Taurât(Torah) as the inspired words of God
  • The Table chapter (Surat Al-Ma’idah’) 44:" We did send down the Taurât therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets judged”
-The cow chapter (Surat Al-Baqarah) 87:“We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of messengers”

{See also the cattle chapter (Surat Al-An’am) 92, the night journey chapter (Surat Al-Isra’) 2, the believers chapter (Surat Al-Mu’minun) 49, and others, all of them attested that the Taurât of Moses was God’s inspiration}
  1. Zabour (psalms):The quran attested for the psalms (Zabour) as the words of God
  • the night journey chapter (Surat Al-Isra’) 55:" and to DawĂťd we gave Zabour (Psalms)."
    {See also the women chapter (Surat An-Nisa’) 163, the angels’ chapter (Surat Fatir) 25},
    3)books of the prophets:
    The quran attested for the books of the prophets as the words of God
  • the women chapter (Surat An-Nisa’) 163:" We have revealed to you as we revealed to NĂťh, and the prophets after him, and we revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Ishak and Ya’qĂťb and the tribes, and Iesa and Ayub and Yunus and HârĂťn and Suleiman and to DawĂťd we gave Zabour (Psalms)”
    {Also in the bee chapter (Surat An-Nahl) 43, the prophets chapter (Surat Al-Anbiya’) 25}
    The testimony of the quran for the Bible as God’s inspiration
  • The Table chapter (Surat Al-Ma’idah’) 46:"And in their footsteps, we sent ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), confirming the Taurât that had come before him, and we gave him the Injeel (bible), in which was guidance and light "
    {See also The Table chapter (Surat Al-Ma’idah’) 47, and Iron chapter (Surat Al-Hadid) 27}
The quran attested for the whole Holy Bible as God’s inspiration
  • the spider chapter (Surat Al-Ankabut) 46:" And argue not with the people of the Scripture (Jewish and Christian), unless in a way that is better in manner … and we believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you; our Allah (God) and your Allah (God) is One"
  • the cow chapter (Surat Al-Baqarah) 146:" Those to whom we gave the Scripture (Jews and Christians) recognize it as they recognize their sons"
    Here he explicate the extreme tenacity of the people of the Scripture (Jewish and Christian) with the inspired words of God
    {See also The Table chapter (Surat Al-Ma’idah’) 68, the cattle chapter (Surat Al-An’am) 156, and Yunus chapter (Surat Yunus) 94}
    Those are some quran verses testifying that the whole Holy bible with all its contents is God’s inspiration and came from Him"*
If the Muslim Prophet at that time was mixing with gnostics and heretics, he might have gotten an incorrect version of the Bible. For the Muslim Prophet to make a statement that the Bible he saw was corrupted, he must have seen an un-corrupted Bible in the first place. Otherwise he wouldn’t have known. But as Fr Zakaria has shown above, the Quran itself attested that the Bible is the Word of God.

So if someone is accusing me of using the wrong text, he need to show what is the original and show me that my copy is corrupted. Otherwise, it is just someone making a statement without any evidence.
